Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

Just got a message that I was deferred till next year march. Sounds very devastating. Any ideas on what to do next guys? Ya, improve your resume and reapply if this is actually what you want to do. You may have better fortunes next time, or you may get deferred again. What stage did you make it to?

I'm going to throw fuel on the fire here; With all do respect, Slovac, what is your opinion on female officers, people that haven't taken jujitsu or ground fighting techniques, males who can not bench press 315 for 10 and do 20+ body weight pull ups? EVERYBODY has a unique skill set that they bring...

Re: Peel Regional Police

There is always room to improve, but I highly disagree with a blanket statement that anything under 8.5 is unacceptable. My cardiovascular health is above average regardless of my running 8.5-9s or not. If I scored 8.5 on the shuttle I would be off the PIN test charts for a 35 y.o. woman. My PIN te...

Re: Peel Regional Police

That's average lol. Hitting 9 is hard We shouldn't be hiring average people. Anything lower than 8.5 IMO is unacceptable. Wasn't the minimum a 7 with ATS not long ago? How can people show up and only make it to 7 or 7.5? Come on now. What if you fail the pin by a small margine afew times. Do they d...

Re: Peel Regional Police

This is true. They outright said they are looking for the ones that can hit 9/10 or better. You would be surprised how many were barley able to hit 7-7.5. That is truly pathetic. That's average lol. Re: Peel Regional Police

I ran to 9.5 with the flu when i was hired here. You guys better be AT LEAST running to 9. To be competitive you realistically need at least a 9. This is true. Hello guys I was wondering how important college diplomas are when hiring to TPS. Is it a make or break type of thing?

Putting in my application regardless

Thanks
It's going to be mandatory soon, so I'd say pretty important lol.

Does anyone know how many recruits Durham hires for each intake?
Impossible to know. In my class, they had only 11 there.

Why are you not posting this on the peel thread? Also, they make you do everything. No one cares if you can run the shuttle anywhere else. They want to know you can do it there.

Re: Going to OPC?? You're in luck what to bring-expect Thread

Would anyone mind sharing recent experiences? I was there 3 years ago now. It was good, I enjoyed the food and ate very healthy in order to keep up with the fast paced environment they thrust you into. Did a rotation of weight lifting one day, swimming next day to keep fit. I brought a sleeping bag...
