Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Went to the Kent Open house today. It was fairly quiet... I'm sure it's not always like that, I was taken back by how quiet the pods were and their layout. But seg was quite surprising. Lot of questions answered and I'm more excited now to work there than I was before, hopefully CSC will say yes. I...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Granted, but I was asking if an invitation to CTP 2 + 3 generally indicative of a conditional offer coming your way, or if not receiving anything after that was something that happens on a regular basis. Timelines can vary but for my I received my letter of offer approx. 3 months after getting my i...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

It is posted on the website that you can be removed from the program at any time of CTP3. I have a co-worker who was in the BC Sheriff SRT program, failed his firearms test and then was kicked out. All that work for nothing.. So!!! Big smiles, yes sir/maam, do good, and be a team player is how I'd ...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Hey guys, I had my interview for Pacific region in early February. The day after the interview, they had sent out emails to my references for a reference check. Now it is March and I have not heard anything back from them. Do you think I should contact them and ask if I am still in the hiring proce...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Had my interview 12 days ago, they phone interviewed my boss yesterday and sent me for fingerprinting and medical to be set up within the next week. They're not messing around with me it would seem. That's weird. You should be in CTP 1 by now. I'm working through CTP 1 and have yet to do Medical an...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Hello, Quick question regarding CTP 2, I received my invitation for training (CTP 3) beginning in early April and I accepted earlier this week. Will I be receiving some sort of package from CSC recruiting for CTP 2? Or can I log onto the site where I completed CTP 1 and begin working on CTP 2? Than...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Question for officers/recruiters, I'm waiting on my interview, I've passed my tests. I have been working for 5 years at a job, I've been contacted for a new position with a company, they know I am trying to be a CX and understand Kingston which will allow me to pick and choose hours if I make it th...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

I need advice and hope that some experts can guide me in the right direction. I accepted an email of interest last week and I am so excited and ready to start planning for August 22nd training in Kingston, but I don't want to jump the gun and move too fast. Should I be waiting for further confirmat...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Congrats to those who received offers. Little tip when it comes to logistics regarding ordering uniforms. Order your pants longer. Men only get two choices 71 inch or 80 inch. I am approx around 71 but ordered the 80 and they fit great. You can always get them fixed. When it comes to shirt size. I o...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Are we supposed to upload our CTP 2 assignments? Or do we print them off? :ponder: I completed them on online and then printed them out. My understanding is that we are to bring them as they will be accessed when we do the classroom portion of the modules. From what I read, we have to email them al...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Question about boots. Are we allowed to have 8 inch boots or just 6 inch like it states in the CD 351-1. I read the past posts, seems like a lot of people said they wear the 5.11 ATAC Shield. For those of you working, what kind do you prefer?

Much appreciated,
