Re: Ontario Correctional Services

If there is anyone from the Ottawa area who start COTA on August 13th 2018 who would be interested in carpooling back and forth every weekend, send me a PM. My wife is looking for a travel buddy!

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Just be patient lady’s and gentlemen! With no more training at OPC and with the mass push to hire police that forced corrections out that owned half it. I can see it taken much longer to get an offer Any offer you receive, take it. There’s ways around the year you sign before you can transfer Take ...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Can anyone tell me if my wife will have access to EI while at COTA in August after willingly quitting her actual job? I am trying to financially plan for her being gone for 2 months and also paying for her course. Thanks in advance for any advice! Do the deferred tuition option. Not too worried abo...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

From what I hear the COTA for August will have quite a bit of Ottawa applicants to fill OCDC demands.

Re: I want to join the force in Quebec

Look at the "conventionel" program with the SQ or other police services in QC. You may be elegible and be able to do your police tech + enpq in a year and have a guaranteed job at the end of the process. Other than that, apply in all other provinces other than QC and or the RCMP who will s...

Re: Ford warranties

Well, once again, here we go: The F-150 is going in for regular maintenance, as well as adressing the rusting tow hook issue and the no heat in the winter issue that still has not been fixed since 2013. The Fiesta is going in for regular maintenance as well as transmission issues again, even though ...

Re: Do police departments trade applications with fire depar

As others have said it doesn't happen. There are some services where you are both a police officer and a firefighter but they are very very few, and I've only seen them in Quebec. The days of the Vigiles are long gone. Those poor Quebecois beggars! Those combinations seem to be a USA option - that ...

Re: Do police departments trade applications with fire depar

When a police service you applied for checks your facebook account and the see more than 22 selfies of you orking out at the gym, bbqing and wearing shirts with a logo representing a group in particular all the time, instead of putting your file in the special fax machine, they hand deliver it to th...

Re: Ford warranties

I guess one good thing that might come out of this junker is that I think I convinced my wife that a 2016 Subaru WRX sport-tech would make a good reliable family vehicle. Dude, just get a Chevy and be done with it haha. TBH, I've never understood Subarus. I know all their models are AWD, but they a...
