Re: Canada-U.S. Border: American Police Want Legal Exemption

I'm all for integrated teams. As far as US pre-clearance facilities on Canadian soil..... Wait until the first lost Canadian wanders into the facility, explains that he or she didn't mean to end up there and asks to simply be allowed to leave. It will happen and it shouldn't take more than a day or...

Just picked up a Zero Tolerance ZT0350, and love it.

Re: prepaid credit cards

Used my CC extensively in the US. Never had any issues. I'd rather have the purchase protection, fraud protection etc. pay it off and have no fees at all.

Thank you for the list, scairns. Do the tribal forces recruit/hire non-natives? Here in the states, WA State for example, most tribal police are non-natives with a liaison from the tribe that works with the department admin. The Lummi Nation is one that comes to mind. We only have the the one triba...

Re: West Vancouver Police Service

I don't think you'd be able to patch over completely, as a canadian copper would. When I was in the academy, there were a few US cops in classes after me...they had to do the initial Blk 1 (12 weeks), but didn't have to come back for Blk 3, so there may be some provisions for a modified entry.

Re: OC vs. Pitbull

I've deployed OC on nuisance dogs in the past it never really seemed to have much of an affect. If it was a grievous bodily harm/death situation I wouldn't even be considering OC spray unless extraordinary circumstances dictated otherwise. "Pitbull" is a generic term used to describe any ...
