Oddly I will miss them when it happens. I'm sure they will just pop up under a new name and get right back to it.

Re: Toronto ETF (the security company)

Awe, they have a store "Spec Ops Merchandise" but it wont let me click on it LOL Been seeing job postings for this other outfit lately: Other than the name, hard to even compare to the eliteness of ETFSEC!: https://www.specopssecuritygroup.com/ I think I have seen a lifted ram 3500 with t...

Re: [Ontario] Private property & Road Signs Enforceable?

True to that. However, lately I see a lot of erected stop signs (or painted on the pavement) plus designated crosswalks. Step forward. As long as the accused doesn't question the origin of the stop sign or measure out the dimensions of the painted lines to ensure they are actually compliant, sure l...

Publicly accessible parking lots are considered highways under BC MVA.

Same with AB but effective traffic control devices are usually missing...

Re: Toronto ETF (the security company)

I figured one of the largest companies in the world contracted by another multinational company would have their shit in order. Besides they are the last people you could say they’re impersonating LE...or English speakers You would think, especially on something that obvious (red/blue lights). I ha...

Re: Toronto ETF (the security company)

I see Garda with red light bars (I know they’re red because I saw them lit up once on a 71) travelling between sites all the time. Never used on public roads of course, but still never gave it a second thought Interesting. Shouldn't have them in Alberta but sometimes exemptions exist; such as my ow...

I think I have seen a lifted ram 3500 with their logo on it, but hard to tell since it's that 'ghost' writing.

Re: The subject of arming western Community Peace Officers

I did attend the TDG course, and was appointed an inspector, but I was not that excited by it, although more interested in that than trying to identify migratory birds after the feather-ID course by the Migratory Bird Section member. I did check some log books, including that of the driver that cau...

Re: The subject of arming western Community Peace Officers

None of my rambling above should be taken as to scoff at the work of CO or HP; I NEVER had an interest in checking fishers, or hunters, or following up on wasted game, nor was I a fan of checking brakes, log books, dangerous goods, nor vehicle weights, even though it was within my authorities. Whic...

Re: Toronto ETF (the security company)

To be fair, as far as business goes, if you Google ETF security Toronto this thread shows up as the top result aside from paid sponsor results. You think some prospecting clients who wants to review them might see why choosing ELITE would be a problem? They have 5 stars on the BBB website! 3 review...

Re: The subject of arming western Community Peace Officers

My training was a lot longer than 8 weeks and hiring process not too far off from any police service, but I can already see where this is headed so not even going to attempt to put forth my opinion on the matter. I figured he was talking about Bylaw officers. Basic Community Peace Officer Level 1 t...

Re: The subject of arming western Community Peace Officers

Zero2, As impressive as your resume is, I have to disagree with your stance. I am a strong advocate for clear distinction between police and other law enforcement agencies. I absolutely recognize why Alberta sees the need for sheriffs doing traffic stops or peace officers being out and about in pub...
