Re: *** ASK AN ONTARIO RCMP RECRUITER ***

On Average, does having a federal security clearance already with another organization speed up the time for the RCMP Clearance Process? Kind Regards, Unfortunately it's tough to say. It would depend on what level the clearance is for, when it was done, what information was checked etc. Easiest ans...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hello everybody, Congratulations to everyone who has finally made it and best wishes for the ones in process. I just have a quick question about hiring process changes ( if that's the case). Did qualification criteria change for permanent residents? I know it was "10 years of physical presence in C...

Re: *** ASK AN ONTARIO RCMP RECRUITER ***

Good morning all, I've applied June 2nd, 2020 and haven't heard anything back yet. I understand that I should be contacted within 30 days of date of application? Has that changed because of covid? Thanks Morning Bry905, If you can send an email to the address you were forward when you first applied...

Re: *** ASK AN ONTARIO RCMP RECRUITER ***

Couple questions about the new process. How long is a passing RPAB valid for? Would this new process require deferred applications that had a passing RPAB to redo the exam? Thank you A passed RPAB is valid for 5 years. As long as you have a valid RPAB, ie you've passed it in the last 4 years before...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hello All, Finally able to post some good news here. The new job poster has been put up on the www.jobs.gc.ca website. There have been a couple of changes to the process so I encourage those that are "lurking", thinking about applying etc to read through www.rcmpcareers.ca carefully. Of note: 1) th...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Morning, I don't see how you would be deferred in background due to this. We would need to be updated on your change of employment though and investigate as part of the background investigation and security clearance anyway. Taking on the additional job is entirely up to you so I want tell you what'...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Morning Everyone, Just to answer a couple of questions here: 1) In terms of civilian positions, unfortunately I don't know. Although my police brain would hazard a guess that if we're not processing member applications, and most staff are teleworking, then its a good bet that you won't hear about a ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hello all, Unfortunately I don't have any further information about security clearance processing at this point. Now that the "cat is out of the bag" regarding Depot's complete closure, you have to understand the situation is very fluid. So my post last week about Depot still being open and troop da...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Just to curb some anxiety here, for those that have Depot dates at this moment there is no change, ie no cancellations etc. Rest assured that while you might be an automated "out of office" response, there are still folks in the processing centre and people checking emails etc. If there are any canc...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Morning (for me) everyone, As I've mentioned previously I do read through these posts, but don't always post responses. Although I though I would go through a few things from my end. In fact this is going to be longer then most of my posts! Homeschooling: We don't look what school you've gone to as ...

Re: *** ASK AN ONTARIO RCMP RECRUITER ***

I'll answer a couple of questions here. Firstly, to Armsy It's pretty simple, after you're successfully passed your final exams you would have earned the degree. Even though you don't physically have it in your hands it was still awarded to you. The questions must be answered honestly as of today. S...

Hi attiexlol,

Unfortunately there is no waiver and no exceptions. The basic standards are the basic standards for everyone, corrected and more importantly uncorrected vision. You must meet these in order to apply.
