Re: Ontario Correctional Services

another issue is retaining these same people while they are still FXT, and then rolling them over, it should not happen, they are on contract; I'm no labour lawyer. I don't play one on TV, but... I'll float the notion that it's likely VERY difficult to just "not renew" a FXT contract.... It's a con...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Hello I’m a new recruit candidate here. I’m currently in process while writing my Neo testing in two weeks. Fingers crossed I hear back after that. If we have made it this far is it likely that we get an offer? I listed thorold, Hamilton and Lindsay as my choices. I’m assuming since the next wave o...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Anyone get an offer yet? 😃 Nope, around Jan 2021 CSN will file to represent corrections. When that happens everything will come to a halt as CA will be frozen Maybe try in 2 years or so New people on here. Remember, you need a CA to be hired with the CA frozen, you will be waiting a long time while...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

I passed my exam on March 2019. Was then told I would get an interview date. I never did, then on June 2020 I received an email saying that covid -19 has delayed the process and was asked if I am still interested in the process and to reply. I answered back and said of course. Have not heard anythi...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Hi, Does anyone happen to know how the selection process for the training port of entry is done? I've been told that the trainee can list 3 top preferences, but are these preferences based on separate districts, ex. 1) Montreal, 2) Longueuil, 3) Dorval? I'm also wondering if anyone happens to know ...

Re: ASK A SPECIAL CONSTABLE

I can’t speak to TTC/Metrolinx or any other Special Constable agency but I will say, housing is not as bad as people may think. Yes there are the obvious risks of the job but I mean for the most part Housing has always been left in the dark. Most of us welcome body cameras as we know they just help...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Nope Contacting your references doesn’t mean anything in this process. You will have to pay $1,000.00 for the training. And another $1,000.00 for room and board which includes meals and snacks. If you want to stay on weekends it cost extra money and not sure the total. For training it is going to c...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Hey guys, I got invited to do my wonderlic test today. I’m not too familiar with corrections but after waiting enough time for certain SC’s and PC’s applications I’ll go ahead and move forward with corrections. Question being, it says temporary part-time to start, eventually moving to full time. Wh...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

No, because you get 50 questions and 12 minutes. If you think that’s enough time to properly read a question, figure out the answer and select it, then you must be a genius and I’m a dumb*ss. A you are not dumb B this test was not designed for a genius it's a test about time management, I failed my...
