Re: Hearing Test Fail

lol...wear a hearing aid for a hearing test??? Isn't that cheating?? LOL...I know this will never be allowed in the army...I know because I tried it once and was told to remove it! So as about a dozen or so guys in my unit who tried that and was told not to wear hearing aids. I had a friend who did...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

... Good thing you aren't HR because no way in hell would I apply if that was the deal. It's almost as dumb as the ATS most Ontario polices services have. If you think in numbers, how many hundreds of Interviews CBSA does for people that fail their Psych exams ? That's lots of $$$/hours wasted for ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Corrections were the same as CBSA for years, but last year in April they started paying 400$/week to their trainees. https://www.csc-scc.gc.ca/003/001/003001-0002-en.shtml#10 That and more predictability with the Mobility clause will make CBSA way more attractive to apply. For me personally that's ...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Does OCDT (Ottawa) need officers? Badly want to move back to that area and i am pretty curious as to if there is a need for officers ? I know the ministry has this rule wrt not being allowed to transfer within your first year but no harm in wishful thinking I guess. Yes we need officers. Hours are ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Is recruitment always this much of a joke? CBSA is not for you. Move on and save yourself and them a lot of time. Someone else would be GLAD to have your spot and would WELCOME a chance find a way to drive 1 1/2 hours to an interview. It's called initiative, and you don't have it. Bottom line. This...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

As if I just got an interview invite after they previously bounced me from the process? I won't complain but can somebody make this make sense? And as if they give me 8:15 am in Rigaud (I live in Ottawa) when I don't have a car of my own. Does anybody know if I'd be subject to knowing my PoE in adv...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Stratford staff have little to no OT. Bot always getting your 40 hours. Quite a few senior officers. Sometimes the staff are utilized at EMDC for help covering hospital escorts. But, it is a very cushy go and work. Very quiet with primarily 'non' issue inmates. And a good union would never allow th...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

If I live in the Niagara region am I allowed to drive to Rigaud or is it something they make you fly or train or something because it’s over a certain distance. Just curious thanks in advance You are free to go there any way you like. Having your car there will be a nice convenience plus for sure. ...

AirborneInfantry wrote:Thanks guys, I was wondering if it was similar to CBSA or RCMP where you do not find out until a certain point in training.

Thank you.

When you get the call to get to COTA you will get a conditional offer and the institution that they have assigned you to.
