Re: Ask the CBSA!
Can anyone shed some light on what happens if we are sent home from Rigaud or if we leave voluntarily part way through training? Are we on the hook for anything financially from uniforms, travel or training? I've had a major hurdle put in front of me and it may jeopardize my ability to go to Rigaud...

Oh ok got it! And what do you mean rattler280 by government housing? Like, you are housed to the fees or the government? The houses are the government's property? The price is better? some more isolated ports have government housing, because nothing else exists around there. other places like regwa...

Re: Ask the CBSA!
When picking postings in training, is Saskatchewan usually open for the most part? I wouldn't think its a very sought after region? just go into the office and tell them you want to go there, im pretty sure they will offer you something there. Are you being sarcastic? In that case might as well go ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
Does the CBSA cover relocation fees (ex: moving fees)? And up to how much if they do. Thanks if you are not a government employee already, they give you up to 5000$ to move closer to your port, if you are then they give you full relocation. if you want to read more about it, the National Joint Coun...

Re: Ask the CBSA!
At Rigaud, are we afforded any time off during business hours if we need to see a doctor or maybe do banking? Just curious, if the need arises. Negative, the college owns you from Mon-Fri 8-4pm and sometimes after-hours for meetings and fitness. Things like that need to be done on evenings and week...

Re: Ask the CBSA!
Can you explain the main reasons why you would choose airport over Land POE's? This is really a personal decision based on your personality, logistics, environmental factors, geographical variables, inherent risk, where you want to live, etc.. Its hard to know what agency mandate you're going to be...
