Re: Calgary Police Service

Hi there, I’m starting to dislike the APATS system. I started an application in 2018 that I didn’t submit due to getting LASIK done and wanting to wait. I received an email that my 2018 application is incomplete and that I will have to re-do it come December 31 2018. I’m ready to proceed with my ap...

Re: Calgary Police Service

Hello everyone I attempted twice the written test and I fail in both test (ACT, APCTA). I bought some books and online training, studied, reviewed, did many times the test, but I reached some point where it is not being more useful, because I know pretty much all the test answers. I was wondering, ...

Re: Calgary Police Service

On another note I am approaching background hopefully next week. Does anyone know when they meet for selection? I hear it is only a monthly thing so curious about June... It used to be the last Wednesday of every month. Unless something has changed, you can likely expect to hear from your FM shortl...

I am currently running on a treadmill 3:3 @ 7.4 miles per hour as my fast pace. In your experience do you think this...

Re: Calgary Police Service

Hello everyone, I got selected few months ago and had completed my medicals just a week ago. My file manager did mention that I will likely start classes in June. At this moment, I'm wondering how long it takes to receive an offer letter from the day medicals is completed? Do you get offer letter v...

Re: Calgary Police Service

Certainly feels good to finally be doing something with my time. I applied about 2 months ago. Unfortunately haven’t heard anything back...yet. Before I get flak from everyone. I’m not asking how long it takes or when will my FC get ahold of me. Just thought that instead of being a long time lurker...

Re: Calgary Police Service

Keep in mind, one class just initiated and another is about to take place in March, recruiters likely have their hands tied in dealing with the current hiring. I waited for 2 months ish before heading anything back in 2016. Stay patient, they’ll be in touch soon.

Does anyone have any recommendations for medical clinics? I go to a walk in place downtown, but they charge me a $50 filing fee to get my APREP clearance done.

Re: Calgary Police Service

Got a call yesterday to let me know that I'd been selected for an upcoming class! It sounds like I might be in the March class as they've decided to fill January with those people who's poly's/backgrounds are expiring soon, but they said I'd find out which one shortly. Good luck to everyone else wh...

Re: Calgary Police Service

One more question. Any idea of how many class might be happening in 2018? 4 classes - 2 will be for the additional bodies allocated in the budget update with 2 to maintain attrition. First class Jan 22 (of course, subject to change, but that's what it is currently listed and what the injured/new re...

Re: Calgary Police Service

One more question. Any idea of how many class might be happening in 2018? As far as I know, there are just the two scheduled so far, which I'm assuming will use up the budget for the 50ish 2018 new hires. If the first class starts in Jan, any idea when the second class be? Yes, it is scheduled for ...
