Cutting/shortening nylon duty belt

I've got a 2" nylon duty belt I like besides the excess length. It's folded over enough on either side of the buckle that my Velcro inner nor keepers will work on the front 1/3-1/2 of the belt.

Any suggestions/experiences on appropriate method to cut/shorten it?

And even once you get "the call" the obsessive phone, email and blueline checking may continue out of habit, all while time passes both too quickly and too slowly all at once.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Mine was also done with 3 keyhole incisions. Don't they say not to lift anything for 2 weeks? If be surprised if they cleared you that quickly, as better safe than sorry. I couldn't imagine running the PARE just 2-3 weeks after my appendectomy! I understand being anxious to get there, you've waited ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Just got the call this morning! It's been a long year, but worth it. Is there anybody here in Troop 10? Ha, You took my spot. And I actually mean that. I was in troop 10, set to fly out Sunday and yesterday I had to have surgery to have my appendix removed. I was told that I need my doc to sign off...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hi All, I received an email from my current file coordinator that I will be assigned a new file coordinator in the coming weeks. Is this normal? I had three coordinators, though I believe two is normal (my first moved onto a new position). It was explained to me at the beginning that after PEP a di...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

I stand corrected on the transferability. That said, there still needs to be a vacancy? Our current detachment has had the same person in the detachment support role for longer than most members' careers. I do know of many spouses who fill these roles and if that's the case, then getting into that p...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Yeah, good point. I'd imagine in those small communities people get to know your name pretty quick whether you like it or not ha! I still have ways to go but can't help but try to prepare for the end goal. It's like living in a fishbowl. I moved in the day after my spouse. Ran out to our mini depar...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Yeah, I figured. It's an avenue my girlfriend has recently been exploring. She's in the fitness industry right now but with some of the possible postings across Canada, it would likely be difficult to continue down that path lol. having a client base online is an option. I have fitness friends who ...

I am curious as to what happens when members has to move due to relocation do families stay behind or move away as well...
