Some police DO do it but who cares? - We're not the police
I agree with you about the mixed dress and secure entrance issue.

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

I went to the funeral of a female Washington State Correctional Officer who was recently killed by an inmate. I marched in the honour guard along side literally hundreds of federal, provincial, state and local law enforcement officers. I remember looking up into the bleachers and feeling bad for al...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

You can have 30 years on or 5 years on, feeding a unit is the same. This is not rocket science. Way to show respect for the job. If anything a lot of you senior guys ruined the sick time for us younger guys starting out. A lot of these older "guards" abused it and now that benefit was pra...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Well then we shouldn't cry during contact talks. We don't care to look like professionals then don't expect to be treated like professionals. Pfft! Bitterman has been around long enough to know what it takes to be a professional. If you think a fancy uniform is that important, join Intelligarde and...

Can a dyslextic Freeman-on-the-Land, who thinks god is a dog and who's not an actual stone mason, be a Freemason?

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

As nice as this would be if true, I can't understand why the powers that be would do this. As it stands now, they have created an entire underclass of employees that they have much more control over. Unless, of course, they are planning huge take-aways when our contract comes up at the end of this y...

Does TIC stand for Toronto Intermittent Centre? If so, why would anyone in their right mind want to work with Intermittents?

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Officially its 2012 but I've heard rumors of it being extended. Unless we see something in writing its all speculation. Everything in writing states 2012. There really wasn't much wrong with the older training program... Where the FAIL happened was with WHO they hired... Hello! I'm right here!

Re: Motorcyclist Dies Protesting Helmet Law

What I find ironic is that I can cruise by some poor slob pulled over to the side of the road getting a ticket for not wearing his seatbelt while I'm riding my 900lbs motorcycle with only one legal stipulation regarding my safety -- that I'm wearing a helmet. And it doesn't even have to be a full-fa...
