Re: Hiring Numbers for Various Police Services for Year 2011 !!!

Getting hired and becoming a Police Officer has changed with the economy. The hiring boom that has taken place over the last 5 or so years is over as Police service budgets are put further and further under the microscope. As previously mentioned Durham is under the same issue with their budget as o...

Re: Durham Regional Police

Well if you are interested in Durham don't give up and keep in touch with HR. You don't want to be looking elsewhere and learn you could have been in the process with them. Its a great service and I have no regrets.

Re: Durham Regional Police

There has been a lot of personnel movement in January and I don't think hiring new recruits in a priority right now. I've heard through the grape vine that all the new recruits have already been hired and are at OPC now for the year. At best Durham might hire some experienced officers from other ser...

Re: New to the forum, looking for advice

Good luck with your application, enjoy explaining your driving habits. Depending on who you have interviewing you it may be tougher then you think. When you are a Police Officer driving is one of main things you will be doing. If you can't obey the speed limit as a regular joe citizen, how are you g...

Re: Ford - all new cruiser in 2011

That car looks too small for a 2 man unit, Impala is already too small as well. New Caprice doesn't look as big as the current Ford PI. I sure hope we go Tahoe when the PI dies.

Re: Jan 2010 OPC

All services across Ontario will most likely be hiring significantly less applicants due to the current economic conditions.

2010 will be a slow year for OPC.

Hi Ian, I'm Jeff.
Why don't you wait to have more then 10 posts before you try to dictate what direction the users of this board take with a particular post?
