Re: Guelph Police and Waterloo Police

I do a lot of business in Cambridge, and speak fluently in a language Cambridge is filled with, so I'd like to think it was enough to get me past the submitting of an application phase.

Re: How old is too old?

I had a guy 54 years old with me at OPC a few years ago, 30 years as a banker. I figured he'd get plugged into a financial crimes role almost immediately, but last I heard he was still working patrol....I was 38, had 5 guys older than me in my class of 48...

Re: Waterloo Regional Police

I am a 5 year member of WRPS, and I would encourage anyone to apply. We've recently had, I think, ...

Re: WRPS pulling 50 officers out of investigative units

I work for WRPS, and with the changes, at the moment, there are a few more officers out on the road per shift...but this is January...once vacation times hit and training/mentoring opportunities occur, it will be back to normal. The new zones are a step in the right direction, as they've been distri...

Re: RCMP Cst Douglas Scott

I'm good friends with Doug's uncle, an OPP officer, and Doug and I were both in his uncle's wedding party. I remember Doug as only 12 years old, but from everything I've heard, a hell of a guy. This fall the town of Lyn, Ontario, where Doug's family lives, commemorated the ball park where he ump'd a...

Palm Pre for a year now...through Bell...phone's kind of nifty, last year there was a lot of hype, but Palm went under and HP bought them. Not sure what the future holds. Still seems to be a fair amount of apps coming out for it, and I like the combo of touch screen and keyboard. My wife's got a new...
