Re: Vision standard

Wondering if I could get an opinion on this. I recently did my vision, and didn't meet standards on the farsighted in my left eye, only by a little bit. The Optometrist however circled that I do not pose a risk because I met standard in all the other requirements. Would that still mean I'm out, or ...

Re: Hearing Test Fail

Did you fail by much? I failed once as well, by like two decibels in my right ear only. I had to get the completed in canel hearing aid and passed.

Might be an option for you as well. Don't give up.

Re: Science majors in the force?

I've heard by some, that if you were to have a university degree your chances are slightly higher on the competitive side, as oppose to having college/certificate courses.

Any thoughts on that? Or completely untrue?

Thoughts on this?

Hello all I saw this recent article on cbc, and was curious what people though on this. Hopefully this is okay, but here is the link. m Does anyone think with all these situations lately with race being an issue, that services might be pressured more then ever to look stickily at more minority appli...

Opinions

I've read some have degrees of many kinds, and some have said they are at times going over board having this type of education when first applying, but I've also read that certificates ar...

Re: wilfrid laurier criminology

I think there were 3 or 4 guys in my troop that had it, or were a few credits shy when they got the call. All it seemed to help with was your time management skills and that sort of thing. It looks good on paper, but I'm almost certain it did nothing at all to help or prepare them in any way for be...

Re: wilfrid laurier criminology

What are your intentions if you were to get your BA in Criminology? As with most Bachelor of Arts degrees, when you graduate you are no further ahead than anyone else. It may look nice on paper, but typically becoming a police officer doesn't require any further education than high school. BA's see...

Re: Shoulder issues

I've been doing a few programs on bodybuilding. Kris gethins four weeks to shred is okay. His twelve week muscle building program is great. Changes every week keeps the muscle memory out of it.. Right now I'm doing Von Moger 6 week bodybuiling program. I like to rotate the three programs... changes...

Thanks for the reply Devilwoman. Looked up the Kettlebell thrusters. I can see why it would be exhausting. Looks like it works the legs pretty good too.

Thanks for the reply. I will give it a shot. I guess we all have that one area where it just takes a little more time to improve.

Tanks again.

Shoulder issues

Hello all I have a question on building your shoulders up. It seems to be my weak area. I've gone up on all work outs, chest, back, arms, legs, but when I get to my shoulders I find I struggle a bit more. Just wondering if anyone has any good shoulder routines that have helped them build them up mor...
