Who in their right mind would accept a posting knowing that the likelyhood of receiving more than 12 hours a week is not favorable, added to the fact you are going for unpaid job training for 8 weeks that you have to pay for? How does that make sense?? It doesn't. Just the ministry taking advantage...

I spoke to the instructors in Hamilton, they said none of the instructors at OPC will loose their teaching jobs ( I don't know how thats possible ) but I guess they will be training more officers at TSDC. It was confirmed that they are ramping down the number of recruits from now until ??? I can't s...

Im currently in the COTA program in Hamilton and it doesn't seem like its stopping anytime soon, they keep training new instructors, my guess would be they will only do the traing out of Hamilton and stop training at OPC??? Maybe there is someone else that can confirm this, I will ask my instructors...

Does 3 months sound about right for us folks in Ontario to be cleared for Medical and Psych? Then probably another 3 months after that for SC? Seems to me thats the average, that will take me to almost 2 years in this process, its a long haul.

Regardless of all the politics of this job, I am looking forward to start training tomorrow, lets hope Doug Ford turns this Corrections around and makes it a good job again. All you need to do is pass, you aren't put in a Ranking list like before.
