Re: Private Law Enforcement Business

I think it's more less a great idea, and you should proceed as long as its all legal and with consents and permissions. More less there is probably a huge market. Don't forget you will need a good title for yourself as well. I'd like to hear about your adventures, check in often! Good luck and godsp...

Re: Corporate security or TTC Bus Operator

I know guys who have done both. From what I've heard, Corporate Security is pretty shit. But then again, a lot of them got pretty sweet paying gigs in varying bylaw departments, so putting up with some shit worked out well. The major complaint I've heard from Transit operators in Toronto is split sh...

Re: A nation of $100,000 firefighters

My wife is a teacher. It will take her ten years to get to her max salary which will be close to my salary. So saying teachers are overpaid, blah blah blah....whatever. It takes a long time to reach top salary with all kinds of courses to meet certain criteria to be within certain categories of pay...

Re: Tow Truckers Angry

It is up to the municipality in question to regulate them, wether it be cabs or tows. In Toronto they are both heavily regulated, but tons of dumbasses still slip through the cracks because there are just so frigging many of them! Out side of the gta area, there is very little regulation of tows, an...

Re: Tow Truckers Angry

As a matter of fact, one of the many invoices I have DOES include winching by the foot, on that same invoice it has a charge for "re position tow truck", and if that's not bad enough, there is also a flat rate fee for the winch on top of that!?! Gotta love York Region... Seems like the in...

Re: TTC Officers - Shocking dilemma.

I heard on one report that these are $40/hr. jobs. Unbelievable that someone, as you say, essentially doing unskilled manual labour for $80,000 a year would risk a "job for life" situation. But then again, is it really that surprising? How many incredibly stupid things have you come acros...
