Re: ASK A SPECIAL CONSTABLE

We will be hiring again at McMaster very shortly. 2 of us for sure are leaving for municipal services (I'm going to TPS), possibly a 3rd. He'll find out next week if he got it. I think they want to hire another 3 to 4 with us leaving. Just an FYI. You'll need the CONSTABLE, ATS cert. as per Hamilton...

Re: OPP Auxiliary

A constable from the detachnent you are trying to join is assigned to do the background. When I joined in 2017, the PC doing mine met with my last 5yrs of employers in person. Called a few more. He came to my home for an hour. It can be extensive. I don't know too much about the process now since Or...

Re: OPP Auxiliary

Its a full PATI that gets done. Get your ATS anyway its good to have. Full process can take up to a year. Mine was 10 months when I got on. If you do not hear anything for a few weeks just wait. They WILL contact you at some point. Could be longer. For testing there are only so many books to use and...

Re: OPP Auxiliary

1. I have been asked to resign from my previous workplace, I did something I'm not proud of and I have changed since then. Because of that I have not put that place of employment on my application and I marked "no" on the box where it says if I have ever been asked to resign. The question...

Re: ASK A SPECIAL CONSTABLE

I always wonder why they don't hire them as part-time/casual or if/when needed as opposed to contract. Then, they don't have to worry about training and whatnot since they already have Specials on staff. In regards to Mac, you need to ask yourself why they are constantly hiring every few months.......

Re: OPP Auxiliary

For my unit I sit on the interview panel. Lets put it this way, with out disclosing specifics, if you have done any kind of law enforcement interviewing, its along the same lines. Be prepared to rely and talk about your experiences truthfully and in detail.

Re: Toronto Police Service

I saw a social media post on linkedin from a member (TPS) who has said TPS is looking to hire 200 officers by the end of 2018. That can't be right can it?

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

Received the dreaded letter today. Weird considering I made it to the Final Review just over a year ago, and only improved myself over the last year with the minimal feedback I was given. Everything happens for a reason I guess, I'll just keep grinding and hopefully get on with another service. Lif...
