Re: *** ASK AN RCMP RECRUITER ***

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of a rough national breakdown (%) of the detachments that have posting lengths of 3 year vs. 5 year? Are new recruits pushed towards 5 year postings? Also, are positions for experienced members in the National Capital Region highly sought after? For jobs that aren’...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hi all, for those who have gone through to end of process, did you need to provide banking and credit card statements to field investigator? At the very beginning stage of application and would rather be prepared if that information is needed.
Thanks.

Re: *** ASK AN RCMP RECRUITER ***

Hi again to the moderators. Is it necessary to produce banking and credit card statements for the BGI, similar to what opp requests? I just want to know whether I should hang on to the last two year's of statements or I can shred them. Thanks in advance. They should all be easily accessible through...

Re: *** ASK AN RCMP RECRUITER ***

Hi there, I've searched the forum but could not find much recently on this. Can someone please confirm that a) the assignment of detachment happens near the end of training at Depot and b) the candidate no longer provides a list of preferred regions/provinces ? I am aware that as of 2016 applicants ...

Re: Failed ECI, what next?

Hi Alexgue89, Yes you have it correct. If the service feels like giving you another chance, they can do so in no sooner than 3 months following first ECI with them. And then again in 6 months after that if the second result is not successful. I have only tried this once and my request was denied. I ...

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

Just wondering for those fitness logs, what everyone is doing for "Stress management activities". While a yoga class would be nice, I am trying to keep something in mind that I can do at home (not so structured and free). What about reading or movies? I find these activities relaxing and decompressi...

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm that the Vision Package has not changed since 2015. It was a 5-page PDF doc with Copyright 2011 (August, 2011) noted at bottom of page 2 (or 3 if going by PDF)?

Feel free to PM, much appreciated. Thank you.

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

They are presently asking people to provide evidence of it in the form of the fitness logs, from what I understood.

Alainsirvine, did you not receive a fitness log template or something following the LFI?

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

Sorry I can't help answer questions for last two posters. But my insight would be to take some courses that you're at least interested in for personal or professional reasons, so it can provide some benefit other than just having it for sake of application. If things don't work out (as they often do...

Re: Victim Services

Thanks for response Safety Guy. Your reply sort of blends into my original post, but if you see within I don't assume I'll get the job as I write that I will either be successful or deferred. The way the service is run out my way is the shift is 12 hours long and there is like two shifts (day and ni...
