Re: RCMP pot policy

https://globalnews.ca/news/4529324/rcmp-cannabis-legalization-policy/ With no real consensus on the limit of intoxication after consumption, what's the reasonable solution? 28 days, 7 days, 'fit for duty'? Are the effects just not understood enough, so err on the side of caution? Does a minute amou...

Re: Pass drug usage RCMP applicant

You can keep asking the same question in two different forums, but the answer is NOT GOING TO CHANGE. Apply and find out. Considering that you have now ignored the very good advice from a whole lot of very experienced people, I suspect that your deferral might not be for your drug use; it will be f...

Re: Pass drug usage RCMP applicant

While other people my age were experimenting with hard drugs, I was busy experimenting with being a law-abiding, productive member of society. BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING! However, same here. Especially considering I was at my first posting after Depot for almost 6 weeks before my 20th birthday. Which al...

Re: Toronto ETF (the security company)

These type of guys would be the type of guys to show their Security Guard Licence to try to get out of a ticket. I had 2 different Security Guards the other day try to use their licence to try to get out of a ticket for U-Pass fraud. They both got tickets. I thought the Elite Tactic Farce Security ...

Re: Ask a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer

Really? An open book test? Interesting. How do you like the job? What would bottom of the ladder officers (ie me) be doing if hired? You will never be expected to remember the motor vehicle act/regs, commercial transport act/regs, transportation of dangerous goods act/regs etc in their entirety. An...

Re: Ask a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer

I've been short listed. On to phase 2, testing. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Its an open book test taken from home. You will need to have an understanding of Acts and Regulations links available at cvse.ca. The questions will ask what is legal and you will have to lookup the answer and pr...

Re: Ask a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer

Lower mainland positions will likely be short listed near the end of the month (my opinon). We just finished CVSA Roadcheck and management/supervisors were busy planning and executing that event. We are coming up on CVSA Challenge (June 18-22) and again managers will all be in Fort St John so don't ...
