Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

in 77 days and counting down Do you really think you have a better chance this time around? With the reason for your deferral, I don't see how another year would make a difference. It's kind of funny reading your comments from last year ago when were so sure you were in and you insinuating others w...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

deferral can happen to the best of us. Mr Muggs - don't give up and remember you're not the first to be deferred. Just keep your dream a live, keep plugging away the best you can, and you'll find the year will pass quickly enough. (I know, been there myself)

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

If you look through the RCMP website, you will find that RCMP does do international peacekeeping. I'm not sure how involved or intense it is. The best place to find out is to simply ask someone in the RCMP.

Hi Willpower,

I called to inquire and found out I passed the medical that way. How long have you been waiting for the results?

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

It's not a crazy comparison at all. The Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act are both Federal statutes outlining CRIMINAL OFFENCES. Possession of Marihuana is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE. Murder is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE. There's no need in policing to relate to someone who's comm...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

(change in topic) I dropped off my son for the Christmas parade in our city (he's in Sea Cadets) and I saw some RCMP members there - some in the blue uniform and others in the Red Serge. Of course I had to walk up and say hello.... While I was doing that - I could picture myself wearing that Red Ser...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Will - final medical is all the things you have to do before you get to the final review - you have to receive medical clearance before you're sent to Depot.
It'll include dental, physical, bloodwork, ecg, chest xrays, psychological exam.... stuff like that.
