Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Business Casual is what I would recommend. But with that said; every appearance I ever made for the RCMP I always suited up. You can always dress down if required, and nobody is going to jam you up for wearing a suit to a police recruiting function. "Better to have it and not need it, then need it a...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hey guys, Haven't posted in a while but wanted to gather my peers opinion as per the applicant "Chit Chat" notion of this forum. I am currently working in an armed law enforcement position just waiting for my shot with the RCMP. When I began my job here I was posted up north. That Office had its pol...

Re: Ask A BC Sheriff

You should be able to take it as many times as you need to pass it. You just go to where ever does word speed testing and take the test. Then they will give you a certified copy of the result. I had mine done at Sprott Shaw, for 25$ We have a few single finger typers who made it, so if they can make...

Re: Can't even get an interview for Auxiliary

I feel for you my friend. I've applied to the RCMP 5 times total now, and every time I've failed I've done as much as I can to improve myself. My most recent application has been successful so far up to the clearance so my fingers are crossed this will be my year. I've been trying to get in since 20...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hey guys,

I was curious to know if medical clearances expire?

I was recently e-mailed stating that my medical clearance was being started, even though 3 months ago I was e-mailed saying it was already granted. I have done the psych and medical check ups already.

Regards,

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

SBSO applications for 2021 are now open. Which indicates the training is back on in the plans for next year. "Today, CBSA launches its Summer 2021 FSWEP hiring process for student border services officers! Gain hands-on experience in a law-enforcement setting by applying!" "Number of jobs Approxima...

Re: Help how to be more competitive!

My philosophy is to always apply to what you'd love to do. You never know what could happen and getting spots often times includes a lot of dice rolling/timing. I didn't think I'd get into the position I'm in, but I applied and gave it my all and got accepted. I’m happy where I am, but I’m always co...

Re: Fire to police

If your in a FF career, and you'd like to have a taste of police why don't your volunteer as a reserve or auxiliary constable? Might be able to get a feel for it, and see if its worth it. I know its obviously not the same as being a full fledged constable but it might scratch your itch. Maybe it wil...

Re: Ask A BC Sheriff

Hey folks, Thank you for the response. Sierra, I'm really happy to hear that you went from BCCO to Sheriffs. In CSC, that 3 strike rule really messed with me. Being in Kingston, far from home. My fear of failure became the reason I failed. That and the 40+ degree weather during a heatwave on the ra...

Re: Hired!

Hi guys I was sworn in today as a provincial correctional officer! I am very nervous but excited for this next step in my life! I would still rather be a police officer but that will have to wait until a later date! Also, Fonthill, I hope you're reading this! I couldn't help but think of you and yo...

Re: *** ASK AN ONTARIO RCMP RECRUITER ***

On Average, does having a federal security clearance already with another organization speed up the time for the RCMP Clearance Process?

Kind Regards,
