Re: Ask the CBSA!

I first applied to the CBSA in December 2016. I'm still currently waiting on my security clearance interview. I didn't do the PARE until about 6 months ago and I still might have to refresh it. I would wait until after the interview to do it to save yourself a bit of money and stress. Just my opinio...

Re: Psychological assessment Fail

Take it with a grain of salt and re-apply or appeal it after speaking with a shrink. Definitely get a professional second opinion. I took the same MMPI 2 tests with 2 different agencies. Passed one, bombed the other. Funny since I am already in an armed law enforcement position. Psych's aren't perfe...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hey guys, I made it to the psyc interview stage, and then was not supported and my application was subsequently concluded. I took the same test (MMPI II + Firearms component) for another federal agency and passed it. I'm still in the running for THAT process but its not where my hearts at... Damn th...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Hey guys I had a quick question, I'm on the S/C portion of my process, and am waiting for the security screening interview. I moved for work in April, and from where I started my application. I e-mailed recruiting telling them back in April but haven't received any e-mails back. Should I send anothe...

Re: Ask A BC Sheriff

Also take a look at Competency Based Interviews, and look up the buzz words. That will do you wonders.

As for the Lie Detector, if you have nothing to hide it will blow over, I wouldn't even sweat it.. If you do maybe the sheriff's isn't for you anyways!

Re: Ask A BC Sheriff

While I am still rather new to the service, I would feel comfortable betting $ saying that the Dept has never wrote a RTCC since its inception in the early 1970s. ` I can confirm the BCSS does not do RTCC`s. If anything happens we contact the local PD and they come in and investigate. The most a sh...

Cat Fur vs Uniform

Hey all,

Anyone have any good tricks for getting the cat hair off your uniform? I spent a good 10 minutes and many lint roller sheets making my uniform look.. acceptable.

Cheers,

Re: Alberta Community Peace Officer

I went for a ride along and the officer I was with said GP got about 200 applicants last year for their CPO 1 competition. Management then narrowed it down to about 6 candidates. I was informed that I was their number 1 applicant actually but they decided to hire internally, and not externally hire ...

Re: Alberta Community Peace Officer

Nah i was told i was unsuccessful because they didn't hire any CPO 1's for that competition, they only hired a handful of CPO 2s which i would have got if i had applied. I was also informed they still wanted me really bad, but there was some red tape between the AG of Alberta and AG of BC regarding ...
