Re: Peel Regional Police

Hello Everyone, I am currently preparing for my in-depth interview, which is in about a week. Any tips how would you recommend preparing for it? We all sign a disclosure. Nobody will divulge any interview details on here. That being said...It’s called an ID interview because they will literally go ...

Re: Toronto Police Service

Is their some sort of database that tracks all your applications and deferrals? I am confused why if you get deferred from one service you cant apply somewhere else? There is no database. I don’t think there is anyway. The onus is on you to be honest on all your applications. Services do talk to ea...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Hello, I am in the final stages with the CBSA. I have a few questions: Do you get to choose where you are posted? Are there remotes areas where you can be posted where you can make up to 100k or more with the CBSA? I am single, 30 years of age, no kids and I am willing to relocate anywhere in the c...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Hey there, Im in the final stages with the CBSA and I was wondering if I can get some "up-to-date" information about Rigaud. 1) Can someone tell me what the graduation ceremony is like? Would it be worth having my family attend? 2) For badges, do they give us badge wallets/covers or are w...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Here's a question for some of our experienced folks, or newer hires with lower seniority... I am currently an applicant, but I'm also engaged. Imagine what kinda person would do that while in a process that could have me moving away. Well anyway, I'm there. My question is; Let's say worst case scen...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Question for all the recruits that are either in Rigaud and got their posting or already at their Poe... where are you from and where did you get posted? They do not take any personal needs in to account. As has been mentioned on here numerous times, where you get posted is a random draw. That’s it...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

For the security interview, do they call you to book it or is it also by email? This may sound funny but ive been hounded by this 1800 number that I keep ignoring ( I never answer them anyway) and I read somewhere that someone was called for the interview and not emailed. Just making sure i dont mi...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

This may have been asked before, however searching "integrity testing" in the search bar defiantly does not help. Without a polygraph test to assist the integrity test. How is CBSA confident that you're telling the truth? CBSA background security check isn’t as deep as RCMP or municipal p...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Yes. They are ensuring you are not a criminal / terrorist. They are assessing your risk level to the agency. For example, if you’re one who admits to a lot of “poor decision making” in your past when it comes to drug use, interactions with police, etc. You aren’t a criminal or a terrorist. But, they...

Re: Toronto Police Service

Anyone who has written the PBQ/LFI the past couple weeks heard anything back yet? Or anyone who has gone through the process recently know approximately what the timelines are? I have heard of 2 people who applied recently and flew through the process from start to finish. Application to background...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Understanding the line of questioning is important when examining travelers at POEs, are there any questions that a) You are not allowed to ask or b) you should never ask a traveler? Thanks. If it’s not relevant to the exam. Don’t ask. If the situation goes to court, good luck explaining that. If i...

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

Does OPP tell you what detachment you will be working at before you’re hired? Or after you start training?

Not that it really matters. Just curious is all.

Re: Ask the CBSA!

I am at top rate, with shift difs, OT, court time, holiday pay etc etc I haven't had a year in the last 4 be less than 88k. Keep in mind we are without a contract now for approaching 4 years. Re: Ask the CBSA!

@ TanbirAhmed: Pearson schedule is 5 on, 4 off. 10 hour shifts. For the first 12 months while you are FB2, you cycle back and forth between morning shift and afternoon shift. Terminal 1 shifts start at 5am and 2pm. Terminal 3 shifts start 6am and 3pm. No other options. But this is for full time offi...
