Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

RCMP needs to make the PARE a requirement to complete in the application process... The archives of this forum show that applicants used to have to do the PARE not once, but TWICE in the application process :banghead: Yep. My first and second application both still required the PARE. I was woefully...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

At the office we are hearing about several non essential federal employees being sent home. I'm guessing that could include recruiting. There is talk about increasing the available bandwidth to support telework from home for essential staff (how that all works, no clue, especially amongst different ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Anyone have any experience with a failed polygraph interfering with other law-enforcement applications? I have mine coming up soon and am kind of concerned I’ll fail just because of nerves. I understand that has happened to a lot of people. Would it look bad in the future if I was to apply to anoth...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Are you Psac? PA group? If so article 45 of your agreement is the leave you want to access. In theory they shouldn't deny it but SC can be not as smart with their decision making. Worst case you quit and reapply to SC even as a casual until you find something. I'm under PSAC - tee hee ;) Thanks! I ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

CAF won't do LWOP? Dang! Wondering now if Service Canada will let me do LWOP? Probably not as it's basically the same in principle. Anyone in here from Service Canada that have gotten LWOP? On a side note, for some Cadets there is a possibility of receiving EI while attending Depot. You would basica...

"Sec Clearance Rec - 03/19"

I'm guessing you mean 03/20. Attention to detail Cadet!

Congrats! That's exciting news. Still waiting over here. Got my 30 day follow up email to say my file is still with security, but that's it.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

I've been looking at a possibility of a LDP, now I am wondering is this something you can choose or does staffing offer it to you. What are the plus sides of the limited duration post? What are the negative sides. I've discussed it with my wife and she isn't opposed to it. Again, when you are at De...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hello everyone, I have been a long time observer. My two year deferral finally ended and I just resubmitted my application package. I was deferred two years ago due to my finance and it was well deserved. However, I am not gonna lie it hurt. I felt I was a good person and being poor should not have...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Since we've been on the subject of eyes recently. I remember reading this a while back and thought it was pretty cool. http://www.rcmp.gc.ca/en/gazette/challenging-perceptions I always wondered what would happen if you lose an eye. Apparently, with training, you can get back to active duty. Mountie ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

I did I would take another look because you don’t have to list aunts and uncles or cousins etc Oh really? hmm. I looked up what "immediate family" meant and all definitions I found included aunts/uncles. Attention to detail, reading comprehension, and finding information is a big part of the job yo...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

In regard to listing all of my immediate family, is EVERY family member required? My mom alone has 12 siblings (therefore I have a huge amount of family members through her), however 75% of them I have no memory of ever even meeting them before in my life, and such I have not had any contact or hav...
