Mine just got her PAL and is itching to buy her first 22. :D

Got a Henry's level action 22 and I must say, its magical. Lightweight and easy to operate, wife has a lot of fun with it. Reasonably cheap from Cabelas.

Re: Do LEOs value Security personel?

I was creeping a FB account and an ex-mil guy had pics of him with a sidearm working for Intercon. Recent pics as of a few years ago. The contract struck me as industrial, like a mine. What do security agents working the diamond mines in northern Alberta have for equipment/weapons systems? Just one...

Re: Do LEOs value Security personel?

That's what insurance policies are for. The revamped security legislation has done little to nothing to better the quality of security in this province and has, essentially, become a method for shady "security trainers" to extort money out of people to pass a ridiculous test. Beyond that,...

Re: Do LEOs value Security personel?

IndictableChaser, we may be using differnet Pubs. I got my info from the Security Services Act as found on the bclaws website (link below). Your para 11 and the one I see are vastly different. The conclusion I made about the Lieutenant Governor in Council having the authority to allow a security wo...

Likely means he was around for the first Age of Darkness, or got in on the FRP. I have a feeling Mr Beautiful is gearing us up for Age of Darkness II.

The FN I was issued FN.... wow. Just dated yourself with that one haha I've never had a problem with DI in any of the theatres I've been in. Ranging from northern Canada to deserts its always worked beautifully. Only experience with piston is SKS and AK families and they are their own standard of e...

Re: what kind of martial arts?

My answer would be any marital arts. Like many other people have posted, learn what you can for baseline reasons, fitness, discipline, confidence, knowledge of body mechanics. BUT, and this but is huge, Kardashian huge: When you are taught UoF, from whatever agency that picks you up, THAT is what yo...

Re: AR Operating System

A more clean(cleaner?) chamber is def a perk of piston. I just can't seem to find anything bad about piston. Only complaint is slight increase in recoil.

Re: Do LEOs value Security personel?

They don't prohibit per say, they just have extreme control over the use and carry or weapons. The Security Services Act only mentions weapons once, to state that the Lieutenant Governor in Council makes the rules respecting the use and carrying of them. As for firearms, only the cash truckers get t...

Re: Do LEOs value Security personel?

Haven't had any bad experiences with local security agencies myself. Footprints Security, they drive a little Prius, tends to get pulled over weekly for any number of traffic offences. Security and bouncers tend to get a bad reputation by having two categories of people employed. 1. Switched on high...
