Sounds like you need to join the Alberta Sheriffs Right? .. Clearly doesn't understand that sheriffs were armed for other reasons before they started doing traffic enforcement, I'm still curious as to his relation to this line of work is. LOL I've been involved in law enforcement for over 17 years ...

Re: Canadian Armed Forces
Majority of my experience that I drew from before becoming a cop was customer service/sales. It's more applicable than you think That is so true. People tend to go security and army, thinking that will help them. And it may, but providing customer service definitely helps more. I did both military ...

https://instagram.com/p/BgHSYOOhMaO/ Wow. The ego on this guy!! Security are the “real” first responders. Fire, EMS and police come second And he wonders why he does not get respect. I think a majority of calls for service come from the general public, not security. Everyone who has a phone can cal...

Re: Toronto ETF (the security company)
I'm amused that the gov.'t is so concerned about having fifty layers of oversight on police and special constables, who are properly trained and go through extensive checks, yet have ZERO issue turning over very important job functions to security. Amazing. Turn over vital functions to people who h...

Re: EDiv A/Cst's petition to Minister of Public Safety
Maybe its just me but I would not mind having some help around. I have heard of Aux's making RM's lives a lot easier. Time spent on administrative tasks such as picking up/dropping off paperwork, driving a complainant home etc can eat up 1-2 hours of my time while I could be taking another call. I d...

Finger on trigge, partner walks into line of fire
I know I would’ve definitely fallen for these videos. See them as my way into policing. Extremely misleading.

Re: Toronto ETF (the security company)
Am I mistaken to believe that Ontario has the toughest laws regarding security agencies? I know in Alberta they are weak with meager fines. Hammer these guys!

Re: Do LEOs value Security personel?
I'm arriving to the thread late , however, let me ensure you that myself as well as other officers I currently work with do appreciate most security guards. Having worked in 3 municipal police services to date, in 3 different provinces I've had the pleasure of assisting and being provided with assi...

Car Seat Covers
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has any advice to offer. I just purchased a 2016 Mazda CX-5 GS (Touring) and I want to put some car seat covers in there. Those custom fitted ones are pretty darn expensive. Anyone tried universal fitting ones? Recommendations for a Canadian retailer?
Thanks

allbranceral I'm not sure if an Auxiliary pissed in your cereal one day or something but you do realize that we are all actually on the same side and the same team right?? No Auxiliary here or anywhere else is claiming that we are somehow the same or equivalent to a regular member. We do claim howe...

Re: RCMP auxiliary officers furious with proposed changes
FordAve, you are not a cop. Quit pretending to be one. You are a very glorified civilian. Sorry if you don't like hearing that. You have the same authority as any civilian would have. Nothing more.
If a civilian is assisting an officer, the powers are extended to him. Just like it would to you.
