I transferred my public service pension plan over to the RCMP pension plan without issue. And my years of service as a PS count towards vacation entitlements. I would call the pension centre and ask, they are pretty helpful

I work in Intel. I can't speak for muni services, but I know in the RCMP, part of the "civilianlization" process has been to push regular members out of the analyst jobs and replace them with civilians. Most of the civilians hired recently have graduate degrees and experience in analysis, ...

I never said I was FROM O Division or applying from O division. I have been offered a job with an O Division detachment. I understand the difference :)

Thank you for your replies/insights. Although a little disconcerting considering a) how fast the process had been up until we were notified that there was a hiring freeze (job posting was in January, testing and interview in April and found out at the interview whether or not we were on the roster.....
