Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Yes, exactly what I was speaking about. And from my own eyes and ears I would say the officers that are applying or in the process is overwhelming with One year or less in. Now Corrections is building a case for provincial as after 5 years as a causal if your want to be one still you will be making...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I think he was speaking about rookies that do a year or so and then up and go to cbsa the first chance they get. Also generally speaking he isn't wrong on this, lots of people in corrections get into it thinking they don't have to deal with difficult situations then take that thought to other agenc...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I’ll have to disagree with you. From what I seen with new rookies coming into law enforcement on the corrections side then moving to CBSA. I would never hire this people. Don’t wanna work, scared of their own shadow and no common sense. From what I seen from people moving from Corrections to CBSA, ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Hi all! Long time lurker here, started my process in March 2016, finally got my invite to the online portion of the training. I also just purchased a house, I am wondering what some of the people who have gone through training done financially to support themselves for the period of "unpaid" traini...

One question I wanna ask here is what test CBSA administers in Psychological testing is it MMPI 2 and 16PF Tests or something else. If yes then in how much time we have to complete these tests (each).

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

“Working on the Edge.” It’s a an important video to watch. https://youtu.be/LcWiF_fQwEw Great work sharing this. Some folks have no idea. And as an OJT instructor, I cannot emphasize enough to the new recruits that think they're invincible, at 21 years old and a police foundations diploma; how much...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Can anyone tell me what theyre experience was like writing the OTEE Cant really say much about it as per non disclosure and not sure what you want to hear. Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Looking for some advice, I’m 19 years old and have got my results and am looking forward to an interview. Just curious to know whether my age or “life experience” would affect my application. I know what comes with the job and I’m ready to take it on. I asked recruitment the same question and they ...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Anyone travelling to Kingston by air on Dec 3rd wana share a taxi? my flight lands at 16:58. Let me know! So smart. Proactive cost saving. I know when I went through CTP not being paid was brutal. Every dollar counts. I think it took my entire probationary period just to get back in the black finan...
