Re: A good feeling article

Great article.

Strange to see it from GSJ though. Typically anti police.

Re: Cops VS Fireman..the reality.

I thought I heard that cross training thing died? It did. Here is an opinion article from the Winnipeg Free Press with some local fire union shenanigans as well as a quick summary of the current 'merged' situation. m This was only ran recently so I'm sure in a few days the fire union will be... htt...

Re: LE and your friends.

Besides once you start laughing at things that are horribly innapropriate, or express your newly formed opinions your old friends are going to think you're f****d anyway. I know this from experience. Oh man, this. That awkward moment when you briefly forget you're with normal people and you say som...

Re: LE and your friends.

Some people grow up, and a lot don't. If you're bummed out about cutting ties with friends try to flip the thinking and look at it a different way: better friends would 1) obey the law 2) not give you grief about pursuing a great job where you serve your community. Friends with bad attitudes like th...

Re: Mountie Shooting suspect given bail

How does somebody come to the conclusion that this person is not a threat to society? Unbelievable.

Hoping for a speedy recovery for the two officers.

Re: OxyContin - discontinued

Good. Out of all the times I have seen this drug prescribed to someone legitimately, I have only seen it used appropriately a handful of times. More often than not "I lost it" / "They didn't prescribe me enough" / "I ran out already (overuse)" / "someone stole it&q...

Re: Just another youtube video to rant about

What a waste of skin and air.

I don't understand some peoples desire to see and take pictures of things they really don't want to see. Absolutely no respect for the sick or injured.

Handled very professionally by the officer in my opinion.

Re: Regarding Toronto Fire and Cuts to Recruit Classes

I feel kind of bad because my introduction post was mostly me ranting and raving, but I clearly share the same frustrations as most of you. With all of the stringent building codes, automatic alarms, and automatic sprinklers they really have regulated themselves into a position where they don't have...

Re: Regarding Toronto Fire and Cuts to Recruit Classes

I found this thread through a random google adventure in response to this whole sendfirefighters vs sendparamedics thing in Ontario. So, first of all, hello everyone. I'm a Paramedic with a merged fire/EMS serviceand thought I would chime in on this whole situation, as well as the general gong show ...
