Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Hate to be a dick here but you won’t be getting Kingston, regardless of how good you think your resume is. Got to put your time in out west first if you want to be a officer. Who knows maybe 2 years from now you get called for millhaven but I wouldn’t hold your breath hearing anything sooner the th...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hey guys, is there a thread on where depot graduates are posted and if they are being located where they asked. I’m willing to move anywhere in Canada, but curious to hear where they are getting place if asked for specific places. Thanks That would be interesting to see and hear about. I imagine in...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Has anyone heard when the next set of recruits will be going to either Kingston or PEI for stage 3 CTP? I know some are going in June...I’m wondering if there will be any in July or August? They should be starting very frequent. Wanting to have 3 running at the same time throughout the year at each...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

As long as there is a legitimate reason for the move, then I dont see any negative impact for your file. If you move during your application process and after you submit your selection package, just make sure you inform your recruiting coordinator, and then he or she will send you a form for the up...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

I applied yesterday, I would've applied sooner but I had to wait 30 days after LASIK. Currently I am in Ontario and I know the application can take a very long time and the mean time I want to continue my education but I would have to move to BC for that. If during the application process I move wh...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

It probably seems overwhelming amount of work. But just know that everyone who is a CX has done it and everyone has lives. You just have to pick it at one day at a time or one hour at a time. Set a side a few hours on a week night if you can and a few more hours on the weekends. Once you go through ...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

I got my conditional letter of employment today, now I can relax a little before I leave for three months in June (Kingston, June 11th). Congrats to everyone in their stages, and good luck! I guess I’ll see some of you in June ☺️☺️ I wish I got Kingston! Going all the way from Vancouver to PEI. Coa...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Black polishable boots with composite/steel toes. I would say old dirty boots will not be welcomed at academy but if you can shine em up real nice it will save your feet. But if you are planning to have new boots might as well break them in during academy and not while working a 16 hour shift. Alway...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Hi, everyone, One question on behalf of my friend, she applied both CX-1 position and CX-2/primary worker position. She failed CX-2 written test but was successful on CX-1 test. She wondered, if she is luck enough to become a CX-1, how can she become a CX-2 from a CX-1 position? Does she still need...

Anybody have details on living accomodations in PEI? Hotels? Barracks? Dorms?

Also, is Kingston out for the time being or are they running programs at both concurrently?

They are running in both places.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Tough crowd tough crowd. It can be a very scary decision to make, to change your entire life circumstances with no certainty and no guarantee. Leaving a job for this can be very risky, scary, intense but if it is something you truly want... you take the leap of faith if you are in the right position...
