Re: Niagara Regional Police

Hi all, I recently submitted my "pre-inerview questionnaire" with Niagara and eagerly waiting to find out if I'll be going in at all. I was told there was no set deadline for submitting the questionnaire, so was just wondering if anyone knew how long it typically takes to get a call after ...

Re: Guelph Police and Waterloo Police

Don't forget its not just education. I just finished up my DCI/LFI about a week ago, and I have nothing more than high school and a few online certificate courses and workshops for my work. I'm 28, and have a fair bit of life experience. I'd second the idea that a tri-city area may be more competiti...

Re: Can police officers be business owners as well?

I have asked this question, I currently manage a family business. The answers I got said I was in the clear because it wasn't a conflict of interest (It's a meat plant), however I was told security company is a conflict of interest since Police Services can have contracts to provide security, and yo...

Re: Hiring Numbers for Various Police Services for Year 2011

Goodwitness, I totally agreed, that's why I had the laugh. When I got the call from Waterloo for the first phase, I knew regardless of how many they plan to hire, I have to give the best I can, and make it hard for them to say no to me. I didn't think "I'll look up how many their hiring, and co...

I love the "apply and find out" answers to the obvious. Thanks for always bringing a smile to my face.

Re: Application?

I like many have found this forum useful. I've searched and read through old posts, occasionally putting in a reply and I've made sure to only post question that I couldn't seem to find. I agree with many current officers, it can get redundant and annoying answering the same or stupid questions, but...

Re: Types of questions you have faced in interviews

I'm an applicant, and while I'd love to know exactly whats going to be asked and what answer I should give, it's like many have said, its a competition. I hope those who get hired the best of luck, and offer my congrats but I'd be lying if I didn't get pissed when someone posts that they were hired ...

Re: PRISONER ESCORT OFFICER - HALTON REGION

From the original post Work Schedule: • Must be willing and able to work shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekend shifts (e.g. 7 hour shifts starting at 6 am, 7 am, 8 am, or 9 am; or 12 hour shifts starting at 6am or 6 pm; etc.). I read that. It doesn't specify if its every weekend or ...
