Re: RCMP auxiliary officers furious with proposed changes

Agreed, 8 pages is absolutely ridiculous, and I've been following as it progresses. The bitching has to cease, ESPECIALLY in a public forum that anyone, including the media, can get a hold of. Some of the best posts have been on THIS page... bairdo, gonqgrad, Lights..... I think the points from both...

Re: Ask A BC Sheriff

You saw them at a correctional center or a Sheriff's office to pick up inmates in a marked CBSA vehicle? It was at a correctional facility. This is correct. At my facility we have GENESIS SECURITY driving a marked CBSA vehicle doing pickups, I assume, for inmates being released by CSC and deported ...

Re: CBSA uniform components test phase

Are you guys moving to Logistik Corp for uniforms? I believe they do the CF uniform supply. CSC went over to them about 4/5 years ago and its going well. With the horrible quality material that they are making the uniforms out of now? Very shitty pants and even worse shirts. I hate everything about...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Graduating CTP this Tuesday. Wanted to pass along a few words to the people applying, of my experience here at Depot. I can't say enough about how good, knowledgeable, and down to earth the instructors were. Everyone is willing to help, as long as you show you're dedicated and want to learn. They l...

Re: CSA Boots for LE

Correct, CSC's policy is you MUST have steel/composite toe and shank. Can be any brand though, so longs its polishable. We get $ every two years to buy our own boots.

"Management"
What CBSA and some other orgs (cough)corrections(cough) need is "leadership".

But... you have "managers"..

Yes we recieved notifiction of this a couple weeks back from our National HQ, stating that all of our orders are "up in the air" and most likely will not be filled. I had $3500 worth of inert 37mm training rounds and inert grenades coming too ! grrr

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

you have to buy your boots & there are specific specs the boots have to meet (approved by CSC) You'll see that the specs don't matter once you get to the institution. I've seen officers wear pretty much just black shoes. However if you have an ounce of personal pride, professionalism or concern...

Re: R.Nicholls status

Their "Contact Us" page still has everybody listed though, I think, including the aforementioned BC Rep and others. I had one of our local departments tell me last month that the BC rep is going away and they'd now be dealing with an Alberta-based rep, but that may have just been prelimin...

Re: R.Nicholls status

I just ordered a few cases of MK4 OC, and they should be here this week. No mention of anything. Except, my sales rep did say however, that he would no longer be with R Nicholls due to 'downsizing', and that now I'll be ordering off a rep in Quebec. Sign of the times I suppose...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

If there does end up being another CTP in the Pac region, I'm sure Bravozulu would be more than willing to chauffeur your class around...he's decent at it Absolutely. Diesel is getting expensive though and the next group has to be willing to crawl under my truck to attempt repairs. You guys set the...
