For work I currently carry the old RCMP revolver in 38.special with speed loaders.
GardaWorld? I know GardaWorld issues semi-auto pistols in some provinces and not others. Been a slow transition...

Re: Toronto ETF (the security company)

Yeah they are gone for sure but apparently hold a site or maybe 2 under radar seen some signs. But definitely was a crazy company https://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/es/pubs/enforcement/convictions.php Nice. I love to see good prosecutions. Somehow I missed this. I agree. I’m happy to see some enf...

I don’t know. I think we can all agree that no agency is immune to hiring idiots. It happens.

Re: BC Corrections

Hi guys, I'm considering myself as a potential applicant for BC Corrections. Just have one concern though, do traffic tickets stop you from getting in? I see the job post says driver abstract is one of the steps in Enhanced Security Clearance. Shame to say  , I have had 4 tickets on my record...

Re: Ask A BC Sheriff

Heh... not sure what stage this 40 hour work week is at. May still be just a rumor. Been hearing this for ages since the start of the new contract and associated MOU to upgrade the Sheriff's classifications.

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Without disregarding all of the previous discussions on mandate, budgeting, operational requirements, I do agree that matching applicants the best they can with POEs closer to home would make a difference. Seems like a waste of money to move a recent Rigaud graduate from Vancouver, BC to Sault-St. M...

Re: MTO (Ontario) officers - provincewide postings

As a TEO, I'm going to step in here. MTO Enforcement IS IN A STATE OF CRISIS. When 150+ out of 160 some officers sign a province wide group grievance regarding unsafe working conditions and poisoned work environment, I'd have to say WE ARE IN CRISIS. It's a great job but if we don't continue to pus...

Re: MTO (Ontario) officers - provincewide postings

That's some nice progress. I remember all the hoopla about switching to Red and Blues, wanting them only rear facing, etc, etc.

Good stuff.

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Anyone happen to know what the CBSA uses as a duty firearm? I'm using a Sig Sauer P226 for my current job. So just curious. Beretta PX4 Storm DAO. 9mm I'm surprised that CBSA doesn't carry the same thing most other federal agencies (PC Wardens, DFO, ECCC, RCMP, etc) do which is the Smith & Wesson M...
