Vacation NIGHTMARE: 2 LEO's Trapped in Cuba 6months+
I've known both men personally, Jordan I mentored in his previous career and has always cared about doing the right thing and being an officer citizens are proud of. I've been in constant contact with them since this ordeal began and the story I got from them matches Leo's events word for word. JUST...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
My comments were merely to shed light on the reasoning for some of the questions and why they may not be as stupid as you may think. Facebook: Let's be realistic, if you're mentioning anything to do with law enforcement on there, that's a bad idea. Using it on the job? Also a bad idea, some agencies...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
Well no kidding (to the social networking). You're a fool if you think putting your real job title is a good idea. (that would make anything said on your profile a representation of the employer..) Yes this is a CSC thread, but remember most people posting are coming from other agencies and applying...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
Question for some of those that have applied in the PAC region... wondering if they've continued callbacks/interviews etc. since the last public posting in the spring... My brother applied then and hasn't heard anything. (I myself have 5 years in at CSC) I don't have any connections in Recruiting a...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
That being said... Are there facilities provided to recruits while on CTP for fitness? Oh yes! It's called THE ROAD. You should visit it if you would like to increase your cardio, which I would highly recommend. Doing 30sec sprints across large distances... say... 40 meters, then drop down and do p...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
As for the comment about cons running the institutions. IF..they wanted to take over a medium or minimum security institution..they could very easily. One of the biggest factors in why they don't is..the fact they can't get organized. Or won't. I was one of 4 CX in an inside yard one night with app...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
i heard the inmates/offenders run the prison in the federdal pen system. is this true? and there are 3 to 4 staff per unit for every 20 inmates. apparently the unit staff members are in an enclosed bubble/office. if the staff decided to charge an i/m for breach of the csc rules, does the staff get ...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
OK so I happened to speak to recruiting today and this is what I got from a recruiter. -There were over 5000 applicants. Everyone who was able to display correctly that they met the basic requirements was invited to write the tests. MedTech was correct. After this point now there will be a random s...

Wow... respect.. I guess you just learn to look at it as a time to relax, not just a commute.

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
Damn, How early do they tell you where you'll be headed?
We have several institutions in the area but one (kent) really isn't an option for me.. I own my place and a 1.5 hour commute would be ridiculous!

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
6/4 - 6/5, and there's a 16 hour shift in there? Seems somewhat confusing, and long. I currently am 4n4 with 8's and 12's alternating bi weekly...... I can see 6 shifts in a row costing a tonne in gas.. What are we allowed to know about the inhouse test? I looked at the other test's sample question,...
