Re: Ask A BC Sheriff

Any current BC Sheriff able to share information or updates on 40 hours work week?
I've heard rumours months ago that it was being discussed but now it seems sheriff and BC COs will be staying at 35 hours?

Re: Need advice. Dreams of Law Enforcement crushed.

There are alot of enforcement jobs aside from policing. There are enforcement positions at municipal level, provincial level and federal levels. Outside of that, there's also support roles he can look into.

Re: TPS Parking Enforcement

Currently work as a bylaw officer out west doing mostly parking related duties. How much does a PEO with TPS make in 2016??
There seems to be a lot of interest for TPS PEO in particular and I am curious as to why that is

Re: Ask A BC Sheriff

We all got that email. Mine said the same thing. They're looking to hire 75 for 2017, there won't be 75 for one class. That'd be nutty. Deputies are still dropping like flies. so it's probably more now. Least that's what I'm hearing.. That's a bit of relief. Yeah I know that don't have 75 for one c...

A quick question about joining the police force

Just today I got a ticket for failing to present proof of payment(busfare).. adimitedly it was 100% my fault and I was in the wrong.. I'm currently 19 and I plan to apply to the police force when I'm 23 or 24. Now my question is, would this ticket affect my chances of getting hired?

Re: Police Foundations?

.......... Still, I think it is silly to go to university or college, pay for it and take courses that will give you in return 18 or even 28 dollars hourly. Now, one might have a specific interest in a field of work that requires specific education and pays little money, that's fine but when I thin...

Re: Police Foundations?

Seems to me that the only people who think police foundations is going to do them any good is people who are NOT police, these are also the same people who seem to have spent their money on these classes. Personally when the people in your chosen profession all seem to say that XYZ class is a waste...
