Re: Best Golf Score

Almost died golfing on Thursday morning. It was approximately 0800hrs, I was golfing with my father and his friend. I was playing terribly, too early in the morning for me, I hadn't shaken off the cobwebs yet and I hadn't even finished my first coffee. Halfway through the round, I was teeing off on ...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

I am writing my test tomorrow in Kingston, actually just taking a break from studying right now. Hopefully if all goes well tomorrow, then I will start CTP in Saskatoon on the 30th of August. Good luck tomorrow on the test. I was just wondering what areas you applied for? I was curious if they were...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

I just finished the online portion of the training, I was able to work fulltime and complete the training without too much difficulty. It truly is just time management, try to do a few hours each day and you will finish it early. Leave it to the end, and you will not have any time to study for the t...

Re: Game of Thrones

The next book is supposed to be released on the 12th of July 2011. Ive been waiting for years for this book. Im purposely not watching any of the show, I will be buying the boxed set and watching it over a weekend. I read the fourth book in the series five years ago... I'm not expert but that seems...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Are you guys sure about that fingerprinting? Anyone involved in the CURRENT process (the one with the 200-300 people in a room writing the WCPT and "in-house" test) received notification that they are going to be fingerprinted, in writing? It's something that would a LOT of cost and time ...

Re: Game of Thrones

Amazing Book series. A Game of Thrones is book 1 in the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R R Martin. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in fantasy / anyone new to the genre to check out the first book. I haven't seen much of the HBO series, but from what I've seen, not too shabby. HBO...

Online starts July 11th.
I am going to drive to CTP (leaving 25 or 26) and I am looking for someone who is interested in car pooling. I am living in the Halton region.
Let me know.

Tried to PM you, seems like your pms are turned off?

Re: Where in the World Have You Been?

I lived in Japan for a year, travelled a bit in Asia, and then worked on cruise ships for four years, so I have been extremely lucky in my travelling. At the moment I have been to every continent, including Antarctica. Ive done most of europe but i had to miss a couple of the landlocked countries li...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

For those of you who have gone to CTP, what is the most frequent reason for people not being successful in stage 3? Are they not listening to the instructors, not physically able to do restraints/etc... Just looking for some advice as I'm off to Saskatoon Monday As someone relatively fresh from CTP...

Re: Flashlights

Have you contacted Surefire direct about getting a replacement? That's what I ended up doing. Went on their website and called the 1-800 # (even though it said "U.S." only) and spoke with a very nice fellow. Explained that I was a Canadian police officer and I'd dropped my 6P a few times ...

Re: Casino Security Job requirements

Appreciate the reply, yeah we were thinking something on the lines of your second option to be honest. About 400 dollars or so isnt much money if you can get a job above minimum wage with it and possible advancement into something a bit better paying. So just as an example, go through the 40 hour c...
