That's just awesome. I live close to all the lower mainland institutions and I can't even get so much as a hello from recruiting yet people are given this incredible opportunity and commuting and volunteering take precedence? Sure they did.



they did. I was shocked too. but then again, off duty is their free time. If off duty officers wish to remain unbothered and well rested during their off times, they have every right to do so.

kick starting a dead thread! hmmm, when I was in toronto last year for 2 weeks, every day on the subway entrances/gates, I see off-duty toronto police department officers tinning their way onto subways. Is that one of the legal benefits of being a TPD officer? free transit? which begs another quest...

no, i don't work with inmates as volunteer, what i meant is we deal with victims that have been victimized by offenders who usually commit less than indictable offense oh, I know sleeping at the institution in between shifts would probably make anyone look bad, but I didn't know that showers were t...

A friend of mine became a firefighter in GTA. Apparently they buy their own badges... OK, lets turn this subject to the left a bit... Why the F do firefighters need a badge? If i just worked a 16 hour shift, Will i still be assigned a shift the next day? or would I have at least 24 hours off after a 16 hour shift? No, my family is in this field too and they work 16 and have to be back at 7 the next morning. hmmm... i guess my next recourse would be to rent a place near...
