I noticed that as well. Funny thing is the captain keeps on talking like it never happened, I have to wonder if he even knows that he is keeping Jay at a distance.

Re: 38rd old female looking for career chg. any advice?

I'm at OPC now, I am in my late thirties albeit male, there is also a 39 year old female in this class as well. So it's not unheard of, that's for sure. Fitness is paramount. Don't just shoot to pass the PREP test take a look at the PIN test as well. If you can pass that then I don't think you will ...

Re: Commuting Distance

New job is 110 km one way. Good weather takes me 1 hour 15 minutes. So far the record in bad weather was just over 2 hours 20 minutes. I hate the 400. Holy hell lol. I hope you drive a diesel, etc. 2004 Diesel Golf, frigging engine is a tank and won't die. I've been debating on trying to find a room...

Re: New F-Lights?!

Just received my Fenix TK22, the thing is amazing. I have a question about batteries though. What's my best bang for the buck when it comes to rechargeables? I obviously want a reliable brand for both the charger and batteries. I know they are not created equal. I have a 12 pack of CR123A's that I w...

Re: Hired!

So after 3 years, 8 applications to different services, 5 interviews (one lasting 6 hours over 2 days), 2 at home visits and 2 deferrals I've been picked up by a service. I am still on cloud nine and I found out over 8 hours ago. YRP called earlier today to have me come in to sign paperwork on Monda...

Re: Awesome pictures

The guy who is carrying has made several other videos exactly like this. He's either trying to set up for a lawsuit by having his rights violated or he's just an attention whore, I can't make up my mind. My hat's off to the officer in this video, he's very professional and still doesn't take crap fr...

Re: R v Gill

Many of them know it. They are hoping to get off on a technicality or get it reduced. I've had many people admit to their speed to me roadside, I've occasionally reduced their ticket roadside, and the greedy fuckers then request a trial hoping I won't show, or an even get it reduced further (doesn'...

Re: Recommended laser eye correction?

I went Lasik, PRK recovery is hell by comparison. Don't quote me on this but I have heard that todays techniques are so good that after the healing is done its very difficult to dislodge the flap, I've been told you get smacked, poked, punched or what ever hard enough to do it you're probably going ...

Re: Recommended laser eye correction?

Yikes....well I went to Doctor Tayfour here in Windsor for a free consultation. I felt as though I was rushed through the entire process and he probably spent 2 minutes in total explaining everything to me. So I'm now looking elsewhere (probably at the Bochner Eye Institute in Toronto). As others h...

Re: Regular Fitness

Heavy week in my program broke all 4 records, scared the hell out of myself when I had to take a small step on the 2nd rep of my squats to maintain my balance. I was looking at the stupid mirror and not a stationary spot on the floor, it's my own fault. I thinks it's coming up on time to have a spot...

Re: Anyone use Xbox Kinect for fitness?

Don't buy a "gaming" system to get in shape, buy a gaming system to play games. I am not saying that you can't ging some benefit from it but if you're just buying it for this purpose your money would be better spent at a gym.
