Re: CBSA Boots?

The Keen's, while comfortable, have not been holding up at my Port and people are no longer ordering them.

Re: CBSA Boots?

I'd be happy having a uniform clerk who actually orders what I ask for instead of trying to tell me "you ask for new boots every 8 months....are you selling them on the side?" LOL maybe if I could get actual DUTY boots instead of the crap you send me to get at a lowest-bidder construction...

Forget ankle support... The higher the boot the larger the boot knife. :smirk:

Boot knife? I like the 9" so I have a place for my stamp.

I am almost 40 years old. Am I too old to attend CBSA job or not?
My father thought that I am impossible to pass this job because of the age.

My class and it's sister class had a few people in their 40's and one in his 50's. Your dad is wrong on this one.

Re: Ask the CBSA!

If you want me to be more specific, finding an FN MAG in two different boxes, mailed to two different importer addresses from two different exporter addresses in two different states without the use of an x-ray is ridiculous. Word on the street was that was all staged with some actor who was in bet...

Who didn't see this coming?

Tell them it's a Federal issue. Waste your own money creating a new one.

Just live your life in the meantime and stop stressing over it.

There really isn't any better advice than this.

Learn it. Know it. Live it.

Banning guns is the only way to go.

Look how well it's worked on the drug problem....

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Hi, Why does the CBSA compel students to receive the aforementioned certifications (solely out of their own pockets nonetheless) merely to be considered for a job? However, the process that the CBSA has students undertake asks them to spend a considerable amount of time and money on certifications,...

Re: The Ultimate in WTF

I share your dream. I guess if we're going to dream, we may as well dream big. I can only hope that this is a sign of de-centralization of CBSA uniform issuance in favour of an allowance-type system whereby you are credited back for purchases of approved uniform pieces. I'd rather be able to go and ...

Re: CBSA Stamp

We have the winner of the "this is too incredibly cool and why didn't I think of it myself in this run on sentence" award. Hasn't anyone thought to get a spring loaded hidden forearm holster? You can keep the stamp up your sleeve, accessible and the solid parts of the holster can be used a...

I've been experimenting with a new mounting solution. I taped the stamp to my forehead. Now when I bang my head against my desk I can stamp the paperwork at the same time. :banghead:

Re: CBSA Stamp

It sounds like a lot of you guys carry your search gloves in your cargo pocket? Am I the only one who puts them in my rear back pocket? I've done that for years. I like them in a cargo pocket. They're easy to reach, more comfortable when I sit and when I'm searching I now have a pocket free for any...
