Re: Practical/Tactical Glocks

Should be there. Going to try out the 9mm. Getting back to the Safariland ALS, it was actually a fair bit more money than what I paid for the Serpa and I just plain liked it better. Finding an ALS for the G17/22 is one thing but the longer barrel G34/35 is something else. Looked over the 6360 and it...

Re: Practical/Tactical Glocks

Went with the Serpa model for 2 reasons. Safariland Als 6360 series which I looked into was significantly more money than the Serpa and actually after handling both, I find the Serpa to be a faster draw. This was bought for police duty class competition in PPC and not for actual police day to day ca...

Practical/Tactical Glocks

So I found myself doing some research on the Glock longslide practical/tactical models and was liking what I was reading. Was looking originally for a G34(9mm 5.3") for police duty competition when I came across the G35 model(40 S+W) in the same configuration for a price that I just could not p...

Re: Best 9mm Handguns website?

Way I see the top ten would be as follows: #1-Glock-You could drop it in your swimming pool then fumble it into your kids sandbox and the damn things keep running. #2-Sig Arms P226 or P228 in what ever trigger configuration-just can't beat the quality and accuracy #3-Smith and Wesson MP series #4-CZ...

Re: Agency Competitive Shooting Teams

Kinda curious as to what Lights did as to deserve the water boy remark. Sounds like he is just trying to drum up some interest and there is nothing wrong with that as far as I can see. The more people interested in the shooting sports the better-just helps everyone in the long run.

Re: Agency Competitive Shooting Teams

Funny how times change. When I first started shooting PPC, civilians were just being allowed to join the CPCA and had to be sponsored in by a police officer. Now It seems that I see more civilians than I do police. Most of the police I see competing are retired now. Gone are the days of the U.S.S.S ...

Re: Agency Competitive Shooting Teams

Not sure what kind of format you are looking at setting up but you are probably best to talk to Dave Brown on this one. He could probably point you in the right direction with a little more information.

Re: Brinks carrying 2 different pistols

Glock 20 10mm duty gun-Damn, I am in. Stoke that baby with some Hornady 155 xtp's doing 1265 fps and look out. Going to have to do some more reading on the 10mm. I know things have definitely changed load/bullet wise since the FBI initially outfitted agents with the Smith 10's so it would be a whole...

Re: Any Recent Trophies?

Those wall hangers sat I bet in box's for at least 10+years. Finally decided to put them up in a spare bedroom in my basement. Almost turfed them out but glad I did not. Lot's of memories come back to me when I look at them time to time-places I have been and more importantly all the really good peo...

Re: CBSA Firearms

To answer the OP's original question-Beretta PX4 Storm in 9mm. It is listed on their own website as to what the officers are equipped with so obviously this topic is not taboo. I can tell you one thing, If I were in any way inclined to apply to the CBSA, I think I would at least visit the website to...

Re: CBSA Firearms

Interesting thread to follow especially as a civilian. Apparently, CBSA carry side arms but possibly not at work. We(the general public) should not be informed as to what kind of side arm or caliber it is in because that is a security risk. Buying the same sidearm as they are issued to train with is...

Re: Need help! 20/25m trigger pull.

Agreed. Plain, square black sights and a smooth, consistent trigger pull make shooting accurately a whole lot easier. Trying to shoot small groups at long range(25m) with a duty gun that most likely has night sights and a lawyer safe trigger system seems like a large order to fill to me. :pistols:

Re: Need help! 20/25m trigger pull.

Definitely would like to try one of the DAK Sig's. Short reset is a lighter trigger than the full reset(6 vs 8lbs I believe). Sigs definitely are capable of some great accuracy. Another duty auto that can pull some very good accuracy results are the 5946 Smiths. Smith and wesson PPC 9 competition au...
