Re: Aspiring Police officer

I really am not overly worried about the possibility of ever working alongside mistero, judging by his posts and his history as an applicant he will likely continue to try to apply to virtually each and every LE job he can find, and continue to be rejected by all of them. Forever. It's pretty bad w...

Re: Regular Fitness

Well, I've been MIA for awhile...dealing with personal crap.

Times have been steadily improving. Ran last night: 5km = 24:45
Steadily dropping weight too. Weighed in at 192 lbs on the weekend. Total = approx 23 lbs so far

Re: Regular Fitness

I wear compression shirts and shorts under my shorts and t-shirt when I go running, and they keep the irritation away pretty good.

Re: Aspiration

I previously worked with a Mental Health organization in the CJS. As un-appealing as it sounds, it was quite rewarding if you like the legal side of social work. Maybe I'm just strange though.....

Re: Regular Fitness

Have you got your whole team together then RookieToBe? And do you pick which part of the relay you do beforehand, for some reason I thought you draw straws the day of? The team is together tentatively. I actually just e-mailed the race manager to ask about that...it seems a little unclear on the we...

Re: Regular Fitness

I was looking at that one earlier this year, huge community event huh? Ohhh yea. I did the half marathon in 2006, and it was a pretty great run. Relatively flat course (besides one giant hill towards the end of the run), and the route is very scenic. They pretty much shut down the County roads for ...

Re: Regular Fitness

Any of you BLers going to be putting a team together for the Team Challenge at the County Marathon in Prince Edward County in October? I will be putting together my own team to see if we can "outrun the cops" as they put it in the website :smirk:

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

just realized I was asked to be a surety for someone a few years ago. I didnt end up going and no longer hang with the guy anymore... big deal? thanks J I'm not an LEO or involved in any way with recruiting, but I would think that's pretty much circumstantial. I.e. Were you friends with this fella ...

Re: Regular Fitness

I think it's a lot to do with my lack of proper hydration. I used to be great at getting my full 8-10 cups/day of water...now I seem to get about 4-5 cups/day. This is mainly due to switching positions at work recently, and not being to fill up at the water cooler as often (lame excuse I know). I th...

Re: Regular Fitness

Distance run yesterday. 60 mins on treadmill...ended up at 6.4 miles. My entire body was just aching last night/this morning, and I had an incredibly painful cramp in my hamstring last night. I ate a banana before bed, and had some protein and lots of water this morning. Anyone else experience this,...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Well I had an interesting week....I had to make a big boy decision late last week. I received an e-mail from recruiting, offering me a seat at CTP for the Prairie Region, starting today. Now, there was a lot of factors playing into the decision, but long story short, I declined the offer due to mai...
