Re: Mountie Makers

But first give interceptor the boot. He's clearly proven that he doesn't belong on a law enforcement forum. To call his comment offside would be a huge understatement. To hear him insult a brother officer like that makes me sick....and very angry.... No need to give me the boot. This forum is so fu...

Re: Mountie Makers

But it's ok for RJB to criticize me, albeit indirectly, all the time. That entire shooting stinks and you all know it. Almost as much as the corpse that was left to decompose for 3 days. Hey RJB, if your explanation is accurate and so simple, why won't the shooter re-enact it for the investigators? ...

Re: Mountie Makers

What would happen today if a recruit was paralized during a "game" that they had no choice but to take part in? Isn't that what liability waivers are for? Yah, good luck with that. In today's world the RCMP would be sued out of existence. This book is an excellent account of a very differ...

Re: BLUE & RED LIGHTS FINALLY MAKE THEIR WAY TO ONTARIO!

Why not just remove blue lights from plows? Amber and red works everywhere else.

Fire/EMS = red
Police = red & blue
All others = Amber 360 deg and red to the rear

Seems pretty simple.

Re: Vancouver police shoot man

You're assuming everyone is a bunch of liars. That's not fact. Get over yourself. Do police officers lie? Sure. Do they lie on the stand? Majority don't. That's where you're coming off as arrogant. This quote was correct but worded badly IMO. It should have said The vast majority don't. Because the...

Re: Border Service Officer charged

Since I got a PM telling me to change my sig line regarding CC9769. And when I asked why his still had the sig line about EPS mechanics I was told that Since it was a quote (it isn't but it was framed in quotes) the admins had to deal with it. So now I have to believe everything here must be true. A...

Re: Border Service Officer charged

It's unfortunate because the next time I'm dealing with a CBSA agent I'll be thinking he's probably some kind of pervo sex offender. I'll have to bring some extra ViCLAS booklets on the road with me in case I stop a border guard. I thought that if it was ok to post the above then what's the big dea...

Re: Mountie Makers

As in NO because back then only men were hired and employees didn't have the rights they have now. If you read the book you'll understand. What would happen today if a recruit was paralized during a "game" that they had no choice but to take part in? It's a much kinder and gentler force to...

Glock is the most chosen, but in my opinion it's based on cost. Sigs are great guns but are more expensive. Simply put, management goes for the "best bang for the buck."

Good book. Gives you a full account of a pre-politically correct, pre-coed force. Murder Ball sounded pretty dangerous back then!

Re: Should I get Tasered or Not?

CC go for it! I've been in the gym while some members were being "trained" on the Taser. I heard a few sounds come out of people that I've never heard before but they all came out of it ok. If you're fit and you have never been diagnosed with any heart issues do it. At least the effects ar...

Re: Mountie breaks ankle after falling off Segway

I can imagine the crime that must go on at senior citizens homes which require actual PO's stationed there. Oh, it's a scene, man. Yea those shuffleboard and bingo games can get quite heated. Where do you think old criminals live? Just because they're old doesn't mean all law abiding and now they a...
