Re: MTO (Ontario) officers - provincewide postings

Really ? If you are confident in your self and are a true leader, I think it is great ! A true leader doesn't need to go around throwing their 2 cents into everything. A true leader also doesn't go around acting like they know better than everyone else. I'll give you the fact that the MTO "leadersh...

Re: Ask a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer

I am interested in applying for the MTO Transportation Enforcement Officer position once it is posted? Any MTO TEO's feel like discussing some of the pros and cons of that career? There is a specific thread for MTO (Ontario) postings. Assuming you’ve gone through the 164 or so pages of that thread,...

Re: MTO (Ontario) officers - provincewide postings

I am new to this section of the forum. Previously I spent most of my time in the cbsa section. I was wondering if I could get some info from anyone willing to help point me to a starting point with the hiring/application process. How do you apply? How long is the application process? What's the tra...

Re: MTO (Ontario) officers - provincewide postings

It's been quiet out there folks. Has anyone heard about second stage interviews? I've heard some rumors on class dates and sizes. Wouldn't mind hearing from others to see if my info is consistent. Let's keep in contact folks. Training tentatively scheduled for 2 classes of 15 officers each starting...

Re: MTO (Ontario) officers - provincewide postings

The shifts and schedules vary depending on work locations. Most officers work compressed work weeks arrangements with 9 or 10 hour shifts but the actual schedules vary greatly. The top end of the salary is 1316.12 per week gross. That being said, that's the top rate for a TEO 2, trainees start as TE...

Re: CBSA Boots?

So a couple of updates here: - They've changed the boot policy. As previously stated side zippers are now authorized across the board. They have lowered the two year life cycle of boots to a more realistic one year life cycle. Unfortunately they have lowered the allowance from $250 to $225. I reali...

Re: CBSA Boots?

Was reading the Uniform Program wiki page yesterday and saw an interesting post. A uniform clerk out of BC posted that she got notified that side zips are now permitted! I must now find the appropriate section to attach to my new boot form so I get compensated. Finally work will pay for a pair of 5...
