Ditto. I hope it's not the case.

Re: Constable, Canada Senate Protective Service

Ok maybe flame war was of a harsh way to describe your comment, I just didn't see the need to hash out the differences between armed security and peace officer. It's been beat to death in a couple other threads. I'm actually curious now about going down to the senate house to see the new Mack Truck ...

Who cares...? Let's not turn this into a flame war.

I do think it's disturbing that they would carry concealed pistols... who even goes to the Senate these days anyway?

Re: Unsure of which path to take.

Colin, if your parents are willing to pay, and you've got the marks and interest to do it, GET A MASTERS DEGREE. Do you honestly want to get a close-to-minimum-wage job (security) as your fall-back career?!? Sitting in an office building all night, periodically walking around jiggling doors? Or sta...

Re: REID Method

I've taken Reid courses, and in all liklihood you won't take my advice, but here it is anyway. You are wasting your time, and your $900 if you take this course, for starters, one day insufficient to cover the material that should be covered in this course (The most recent one I took was a week and ...

REID Method

Anyone on here have experience with this trg? I see from their website see that it's offered at Durham College.

http://www.reid.com/

I'm looking at upgrading/enhancing some "special skills" so I don't stagnate through the recruitment process.

Thoughts?

Cheers

Tack on the cost... why pay $80.00 to get a hard copy "PAL" which expires, if I don't actually plan on owning a firearm for the foreseeable future? All one should need is their Training Certification #'s for NR and R…. You can call your local office and get those, they don't expire. Where...
