Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Thanks everyone. It was quite disheartening to hear the reason why I failed the interview, since I have MANY years of influencing/motivating people. It just didn't make sense.

I will definitely reapply next time and will make sure that my answers are spot on-and then some.

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

It is funny to see the ones that get past the interview stage. You know the ones who talk in "text", everything is shortened. People who can't research their own information. What are they going to be like when/if they pass CTP? Maybe it is different in other regions for interviewing. Wher...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Just a question. I was speaking with someone the other day who did the test the same day as myself. They have already done their interview and was told the same as me 3-4weeks. They wanted to know if everyone is told that timeline, or if they did not do well in the interview, that they would be told...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

KWIM? Know what I mean? Seriously? You just said 'KWIM'....incredible. I noticed something at work when training new people.....their typing skills stink. Yet, they have grown up having multiple computers in their homes. I now understand why. I don't know who you are referring to, but it is VERY ra...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

I finally received my interview date for July 12th in Kingston. I have begun my preparations for the interview but would really appreciate any advice or direction from those who have interviewed or from senior members. Any and all help would be awesome. Just tell the truth and don't make things up ...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

I heard back within 2 for mine for PAC region. If you speak with your references often, ask them to let you know when CSC has contacted them. I think CSC called me about 4 days after speaking to my references. I just emailed my References this morning and let them know I had the interview already. ...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Not bad. I was a lot more relaxed this time around. Hopefully I did ok. Of course afterwards I am always thinking I should have said more KWIM? But what's done is done and now I wait for a reply back-3-4wks. I had my interview yesterday in PAC and kept thinking the same thing. 3-4 weeks is going to...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

If i just worked a 16 hour shift, Will i still be assigned a shift the next day? or would I have at least 24 hours off after a 16 hour shift?

No, my family is in this field too and they work 16 and have had to be back at 7 the next morning certain shifts.
