Re: Vancouver Transit Police questions

From what I know, when you max out, Vancouver transit police has the highest constable salary in Canada... Their 1st class constable salary is like the low end of EX1 (executive) pay for federal government. Money shouldn't be the priority when you are getting into policing but if I was interested i...

Re: I hate government

I've said it before and I will say it again...I will not vote Conservative again. They pretend to care about Law and order but we are the first to get our budgets gutted, our equipment cut, our staff cut, and they put idiots in charge....all the while taking our severance, reducing our benefits, cu...

So you'd be in the same boat as the rest of us? Why would you expect them to process your application if they don't know if you meet a hard line minimum requirement?

Something you OPP guys should see.

I apologize if this crosses a line or violates some kind of operational security for you guys but you, and your union, should probably look into this. It's in relation to tourniquets recently purchased en masse by the OPP, from an airsoft producer... http://privatebloggins.ca/?p=852 Again if this po...

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

Really, only 100 applicants? Not that I am trying to question you, since you are far more in the know, but how the hell is that possible? I assume it has something to do with the proximity of the oil fields and that industry in general? In Alberta anyone with a pulse can get an entry level job maki...

Re: CBSA, RCMP, CSC, and Military Funding to be Slashed

The budget cuts are hitting hard, especially in terms of Maintenance. I don't really want to get into details publicly, but it's bad, really bad. Same here. It is hardest hit with staffing for us. The term "skeleton crew" could describe it. Ref staffing, I hear ya, cuts to training budget...
