Re: Ontario ombudsman outs Durham police officer
While I agree with the argument that conduct can be called in to question regardless of being on or off duty, these comments where made anonymously. The only reason any one suspects this was a member of drps is because the ombudsman says so. As such I don't believe this would be a conduct violation...

Re: Ontario ombudsman outs Durham police officer
While this is a good discussion on the dangers of social media and our profession, I think it needs to be stated clearly that until the Ombudsman outed the Twitter account holder as a Durham cop, there was NO way for anyone to infer any sort of relationship between the Twitter account and law enforc...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
Hi everyone! So I have been invited to CTP3 in Kingston on Sept 16 and was just wondering how the atmosphere is there, what do I need to take with me, what are the living conditions and what should I expect when I am there?? ( food, daily schedule, gyms, etc). Thanks !! You will receive a package t...

Re: Any hope at all?
Well, I was expecting a bit of snubbing here and attitude but you guys surprised me. Thank you. I will see how it goes and let you all know. Maybe it will help others. When I mentioned I will practice it, I meant I will try it on brand new equipment which hasn't been messed up by any ones sloppy fi...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
When I went through CTP in 2007, the recruiters told me it was acceptable to provide proof of First Aid / CPR certification up to the date of graduation, it wasn't a pre-requisite for application.

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
Sorry for the confusion I just wanted to know if there was a role play, not what the scenario is or any details it was just a general question. Didn't want the answer to divinci' s code. I thought that's what this fourm was for. Thanks Medtech and supaduck as least some know how it works in the rea...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
I have read back through the pages and it seams they used to do a role play as a part of the interview prior to 09. Just wondering if there still is a role play aspect to the interview process. Your not going to get an answer on that. Why not? That's a material disclosure of a component of the test...

Re: After an accident
What would happen if someone crashed into your car, drove off then called the police blaming you for the accident? If there are no witnesses are you screwed? They would be charged with failing to remain and possibly public mischief to name a couple. Why do you ask? I want to be prepared in case som...

Re: Zimmerman not guilty
This is what it is and the court has spoken. Agreed. Should there have been some overriding and palpable error than there is a means to deal with that, namely appeal. The jury is the ultimate check and balance in the justice system, and in this particular case the prosecutor failed to discharge the...
