Re: Store Security releasing offenders

If I recall correctly in Nanaimo, the LPO would call in and give the particulars. We would run the offender through the data bases (CPIC & PRIME), and tell the LPO we either had interest, ie: multiple shoplifting offences or outstanding warrants, or we had no interest (no previous history). If we ha...

Re: No Call Too Small Philosophy

My service typically sends an officer to each and every call for service. My favourite ones are the "there's water coming onto my balcony from somewhere above!!" during a rain storm lol I think the bar has been set even lower. Having coffee with one of my old dispatch watch mates, who is now a watc...

Re: AR15 petition

Signed - and I don't even own an AR-15 :(

I agree, the RCMP should not be the ones deciding what is and what isn't legal.
Not their mandate to make the laws.

Re: Alberta Fish & Wildlife Officer

While surfing through a website on social media I came across some recent photos of an Officer I knew in Alberta in the early 80's. I thought he was long since retired, but turns out he was still working. I managed to find an e-mail address for him, and sent him a request. I now have a couple of the...

Post garage is located at the Pacific Region Training Centre (PRTC) in Chilliwack. Their address is 1100 Calais Crescent Chilliwack, British Columbia V2R 0N6 Phone number for the front desk is 604-703-2401. The front desk may be able to transfer you through to the post garage. If not, I'm sure they ...

Re: No Call Too Small Philosophy

Great responses everyone - thanks !! As far as increasing our staffing levels, I don't think that is going to happen. Management recently had a "statistical" workload study completed. Essentially it says that we have too much free time on our hands :( Statistically we are not "engaged" 100 percent o...

No Call Too Small Philosophy

Just wondering what members think about this philosophy. I work in a communication centre that takes complaints, and dispatches for several detachments. The detachments range from a city of almost 90 thousand, to small detachments with around two thousand residents. Our provincial management is push...

Re: warm fun place to go

If you are a diver, Cozumel is the place to go. Clear warm water, greats reefs, and lots to see underwater. Lots of great operators on the island - Blue XT Sea, Aldora, Scuba Club, Blue Angel, etc. Locals are friendly. My only complaint is all the hawkers that are trying to sell you something. Had o...

Re: Hobbies!

My most passionate hobby is scuba diving. Been diving for a long time time (over 30 years) and just love it. :) Been to Cozumel, Mexico 3 times for some warm water diving, but most of my diving has been "cold water". Love diving so much that I live beside the ocean  Tied for most passionate...
