Don't feel bad. A lot of people, myself included did not get hired their first go. Depending on your deferral period, take time to better yourself. Yes, it usually has a 1-4 year time frame that you have to wait before being able to apply back again.

Have you tried Aurora or Toronto?

It depends on whats available. My Sgt needs a Tahoe, one reason being hes tall. For people over 6 foot getting in and out of the interceptor is horrible. I prefer the suv's for one, my personal car is one and it has far more viability, space ect. Every option has a fall back, it's what fits you bett...
