Checked RCMP requirements and I think that I Do have almost everything what they need. My biggest issue can be the language and here is the question: How hard ...

Re: Ask a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer

I wonder why so many postings from SK...attrition or adding personnel? I have to admit, my mother in law would love for me to apply for this and bring her daughter back home...lol. I see a CVEO when we are in Yorkton from time to time but I never have a chance to stop and chat. Same for the scale f...

Re: Question about Law enforcement officer and Peace officer

It is just my curiosity: is there any difference between a Law Enforcement Officer and a Peace Officer? I work for correction, and have spoken to some senior staffs, they told me that correctional officers are peace officers, but are not Law enforcement officers. Apparently, police officers are bot...

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

I passed the ACT & the APCAT this weekend at the Whitehorse recruiting event. I signed up for Police Prep about two weeks ago, and honestly, found the Police Prep exams more difficult than the actual tests. It was a good event, and I'm glad they made the effort to recruit from the North. I foun...

Re: Ask a Sheriff

I applied for the law court sheriff position that closed January 12th and I am freaking out! I want a call back so bad. Screening will start soon, interviews will be in July. Does anyone know how long they usually take before you know if you were worthy of an interview or not? I beleive they are do...

Re: Ask a Sheriff

I'll try my luck in this competition but not to sure if I would like being a law court Sheriff. I was really hoping that the Traffic Sheriff competition I was in would have panned out Did you get an official no from traffic? I'm sure there will be another posting before the fall class. Then apply a...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

I would venture an educated guess and say that you are not guaranteed a spot in Rigaud as you are an alternate. The reason I would say they want all the alternates to complete the online training is to be a back-up in case one of the selected recruits is unable to attend suddenly or has failed/incom...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

I've heard from some recent grads that numbers are drawn from a hat. The number you draw gives the order you go in to pick your port. So long story short you could get lucky or you could lose out and be stuck exploring another part of this great country while getting paid. I've heard the same thing...

Kodo's to this officer!

Every now and then we get to see the human side of Police / Peace Officer's in the media instead of the garbage that is said most of the time. Good job on this officer!
